Suck on the road Suck in September Suck at home in September If they lose today, they'll be 5-6 at home in September.
The Astros are set to be the best team in majors over the next 5-10 years. They are performing way over their heads and are ahead of schedule. We can't be greedy and expect them to be good so soon. Next year and 2017 will be our years. This team is just flawed.
His managing style has essentially been the same all year long. He was making the same or similar decisions when they were 14 over as he is when they have had a miserable September.
Milo Hamilton is rolling in his grave. This team is just set to self destruct at the very last weeks of the season.
Harris last 7 games, 4.50 ERA with a 1.50 whip, 2 loses, well 3 after today. Neshek, last 7 games, 2 loses, 3.86 ERA with a 2.14 whip, OUCHHHHHH And Hinch uses these 2 clowns in the 8th, winning by 1? We can't win with Hinch, THAT IS A FACT. I do like the way he used Perez tonight, he was wrong last night. Gregerson should had pitched against Trout and Pujols, we don't have a game to save if we can not hold leads, and this bullpen right now is TERRIBLE.
The problem is that situations change and with that comes relievers' inconsistencies. You just can't keep going back to guys because "they have been good all year". It's a terrible, rookie thought process.
Really?? So they've sucked giant donkey nuts for the past 10 yrs and have broken every record of ineptitude but now they actually start playing a bit decent and fans shouldn't want their team to win now?
Nice to have a good outlook, but nothing is for certain....When you have a chance, you have to capitalize...
Because replacing the manager every season is also a good idea? There's no chance he can become a better manager at only 41? There's no good reason to let him build on the successes from this season and to learn from the mistakes? Yeah...you're idea makes more sense. Let's see how many ex-managers they can have on the payroll at once.
Prior to today, thus far in September: Neshek: 0-3, 6.35 ERA Harris: 0-2, 3.24 ERA Both of those ERAs will go up after today's game. I think something like 7.50 for Neshek and 5.40 (with another loss) for Harris.
We are definitely seeing why Luhnow was interested in a closer at the deadline. Too bad he didn't manage to get one.
Harris and Neshek have been terrible of late but who do you want Hinch to bring in? Qualls? Fields? The bullpen is just not good.
