Do you realize that most rookies don't make much impact in their first season? Do you also realize that we have only just now seen Hollings, a guy we got in the supplemental draft (but used a draft pick for, so I count him as a draftee) and haven't even seen Joppru yet. Forcasting doom and gloom because our rookies aren't blowing your skirt up after 2 preseason games is more than a little hasty. Also, if I were a Cowboy fan, I think I would be displeased with Carter's game yesterday. From what I have seen, Hutchison will likely be the better QB over the long haul, and Carter having a good preseason game is only going to make it harder for the coaches to sit him, when they really probably should.
I pretty much agree. QC, while showing a better than average game by his standards, has a lot to show before I feel even remotely fomfortable with him at QB. Chad H has shown he could probably be better. That said, I'm not really comfortable with him either. He makes some dumb mistakes and really hasn't set himself far ahead of QC, which I think shouldn't be that hard to do. His arm and size are very good and while he doesn't have the ability to scramble like QC, he can run alright. Still, he fumbles the ball pretty easily and makes some mistakes. All we need from our QB is for them to do well, not great. Keeping the ball moving, and keeping the turnovers to a minimum is all we need. I don't know why, but Trent Dilfer always comes to mind when I think of a perfect QB for us. Too bad we screwed up his achilles last year.
To put shortly... glad I didn't win tix to that game. I guess it was good for Cowgirls though... In games that count.... 19 - 10
No...it wont. man, that game was brutal..Texans looked ok for exactly 1 quarter...then boom....sucktitude supreme.. oh well..
the job for RB has been a lot of competition. who do you guys think will get it? i hope we keep J. Wells. i can't remember correctly, but i think i heard that we might get rid of Jonathan Wells because of his poor performance. this may be just a rumor. but it would suck if it was true. then again with some great runs by Hollings against dallas, we might be ok without Wells. (still would suck). but now with Baxter out for the season you think one of the RB can play HB? is Nolen any good?
