Then you're either psychic, have some sort of Cartman-esque transmitter emitting from your arse, or you were not listening to Milo: the past several years were unbearable. God bless him, wish he would have had the non-ego to retire before he made a buffoon out of himself. He, and Scully, Jack Buck, Mel Allen, Harwell, Uecker, Joe Garagiola and a few others just sound like baseball. http://contursi.freeyellow.com/baseballtour/sounds.html I will always miss the "groups attending tonight" announcements that he was handed and read on the air. They stopped it a year or so ago when someone told him what was going on and he got furious.
Hold on there bucky, I was just showing my appreciation. Lay off the arse admiration there bucky. No reason for psychic abilities, just paying attention and using a little brain power and the games were easy enough to follow.
Man, I'm sorry, but scrolling down and seeing the "similar threads" titles, then opening and reading them...it's hard not to laugh. It's interesting how quickly people's words change about somebody when they are alive vs. when they die. Nook, you never answered the question posed in one of those threads.
WOW. I thought this was another RIP thread. I was surprised with some of the comments "I'm glad Milo is gone....all the games with no detail etc......Long time coming" I didn't realize it was from 2012 and bumped...
Yup.. sure do and he also said that in 05 after the Astros swept the Mets right after the All star break. That year with the stupid Beltran saga that had perspired it was quite a big deal at the time. I remember Astros winning on a walkoff base hit by Ausmus in a game that had Pedro Estacio pitching against Pedro Martinez for the Mets. God that was a magical season.
