This would be more heartbreaking than LeBron joining the evil empire:

    http://www.sportando.net/eng/italy/serie-a/21401/maurice_taylor_between_italy_and_miami_heat.html

Maurice Taylor between Italy and Miami Heat

The player is in talks with Roma, San Severo, Pesaro and Brindisi in Italy and with Heat in NBA

The future of Maurice Taylor will be in Italy or in NBA with Miami Heat, as confirmed by sources close to the situation. The forward, who is free agent, has an offer from Virtus Roma and Mazzeo San Severo in Italy and is also thinking about the 10-day contract proposed by Miami Heat who won't have Chris Bosh for a couple of weeks (Miami has 15 guaranteed contracts and it is not clear how the franchise would make room and sign Taylor).

Taylor, who has played 534 games in NBA (227 in the lineup) averaging 11ppg and 4.6rpg, is also targeted by Enel Brindisi and Scavolini Pesaro, as well from Italy.

The former standout of Michigan returned to action two years ago in Italy with Armani Jeans Milano. Last season he started in China with Shanxi averaging 18ppg and 7rpg in Chinese CBA and then moved back to Italy to Benetton Treviso where he played as Italian (his grandmother has Italian roots and he was able to get the Italian passport). With Treviso Taylor has played 11 games in Serie A scoring 5.7ppg.

The best season in NBA of Mo Taylor was the one in 1999/2000 with Los Angeles Clippers, finished with 17 points and 6.5 rebounds per contest.

What a waste of a roster spot.

Really? And I hardly think the Heat have earned the right to be referred to as the evil empire.

How great must one's life be to be weighing million dollar offers from several cities in ITALY, or an offer from MIAMI? Oh, to be 6'-10" and athletic.....and to think, some of these guys STILL waste their chances with their boneheaded decisions.

Et tu, Brute? Mo Taylor, how can you stab us in the heart like this? Pity that our Rockets legends can stoop so low as to sign with the the Devil's team.

Next thing you know the Heat will be signing Keith Bogans, Shandon Anderson, and Stromile Swift as well!! Signs of the apocalypse...

You mean like he looked at any time after the Rockets signed him to a six year, $48 million dollar contract? Or worse?

One would have to be in shape first to ever look out of shape.

Man I wouldn't mind seeing this happen.

As much as a (true) Rockets fan I am I would love to see any past Rocket not in the NBA make it back.

Hell if Mad Max can get a 10 day contract if only to run into stands a smack a b**** then I would be for it...

    But that is just me.

So basically the Heat want Michael Beasley back?

    Good for them.

If him and Howard get rings then 2012 really is the end of the world.

Maurice Taylor: I am taking my talent to South Beach.

The city of Houston is going to burn all the Mo Taylor jerseys and whatnots.

I wouldn't call any of those people "legends" so much as worthless turds.

I'm glad to hear he's playing. That was a nasty injury he had.

True enough. At least Bogans played hard, though.

Guarantee that Taylor's camp is the only one talking about the Heat being a possibility.

    What waste of talent.
