Man.. The rockets tried to get Gerald Green. Too bad they were not able to. I'm sure Lindsey will be great. But to think that Gerald Green could have been on the Rockets.. would have been awesome.

    But we didn't, so...

I am actually suprised at the lack of trades this draft. Analysts were saying a lot of teams got the players they wanted w/o having to move up. I guess that wasn't the case for us.

Easy there. There have been tens of supertalented high school players drafted. There is only one T-Mac, one Kobe, one Lebron

It's nice to know they tried.

Second to that, this quote is the most interesting piece of news.

"Crystallized," eh? Nice to know they've got their gameplan set. I wonder who we're looking at - Swift? SAR? Marshall? A SG/SF?

We should get a free agency thread going.

Doesn't Toronto's draft kind of pave the way for Donyell Marshall to leave?

Toronto is a paved-the-way management for DM to leave. Magliore may well be there in July. Was Villanueva a Hornet pick?

That seems to be the speculation. I just don't see how the Raps could have that bad of management to pick Charlie V at #6.

T-Mac and Green together would just end up hurting each others game. Green is the same type of player as T-Mac so why would you want him?

If TMac and Green are the same type player, then they're both unselfish players and could easily co-exist. We're not talking about 2 Antoine Walkers here. :D

Because Green is seven years younger and will need time to develop. Four years from now, when Green is ready, TMac will be 30 and will have been in the league 12 years. In general, I'm for bold moves, so even though it was called "idiotic" by another poster, I would have liked to get Green and develop him. Look how San Antonio took Scola and waited--now he looks like he's going to be a really nice player. Even though Eddie Griffin didn't work out, I take more of that mindset towards the draft because you can usually get serviceable players outside the draft (look how good our offseason was last year, not even counting TMac), while it's a lot easier to hold on to your own studs.
