I like it a lot too. Looking forward to catching up on last nights episode. The show is a little unbelievable at times but it is entertaining.
I really enjoyed the premiere last night and the direction that they took now with Red on the outside how will Keane proceed from here. I am not 100% sold yet on the new "messenger" guy - something about him or maybe the actor cast I dont like. Maybe because he looks really young so doesnt look as threatening?
My wife likes to watch it, but I just can't appreciate it anymore. Season 1 was interesting, but the "FBI ****s everything up, Red is always one step ahead to save the day" formula became grating to me after a while. Not to mention that ridiculous Da Vinci code episode with the black plague virus or whatever.
I can see that. I do like the world they built and reveal the criminals that Red gives them are as interesting as anything else just enough plausibility to make suspension of belief possible while mixing in a bunch of conspiracy theories. Like the XFiles without aliens and ghost Rocket River
BlackList Redemption kind of when like I thought it would I really like the character of Matias Solomon. He basically makes the show for me. though I saw the end coming they still left me interested and entertained. Now back to the regular Blacklist. I am interested to see how things goes with Red Rocket River
The back story for Kathy was very interesting and I liked the episode on Dembe Not a bad start of the second half of the season Rocket River
Yea . . . it was alot of MEH . . . enough to keep you engaged until the main one came back I like the character of Solomon Matias though . . . . he should come to the main stage Rocket River
I did not like the backstory of Mr kaplan. It came out of nowhere that She was more linked to masha than to red. Some things were a but out of character for me. I hope the show pick up. This whole season has been less interesting to me. And I really loved the first years. Redemption was ok. I loved Solomon. The ending was predictable. But it was not obvious enough that we were 100% sure. So we kept on being interested.
FINALLY just caught up on The Blacklist. Was behind for much of this season. I DO NOT like how things written with Red vs Kaplan. And I agree with @arno_ed that I don't like how Kaplan was linked more to Keen than Red. Those aspects aside, the season has been pretty good. Personally, I am partial to the "bad guy of the week" episodes than too much of the "world building" episodes. Those gets bogged down. More to the point, I like it 75/25 in bad guy/world building versus the 50/50 we get a lot of the time.
I think the writers have done a fine job with filling in details to build up the backstory of "Red vs Kaplan." They boxed themselves into a corner and are doing a good job of at least making something out of it. I don't like "VS" storyline, but the writers are doing their job with the direction the showrunner has picked. It would be nice if Red/Dembe/Kaplan were together on "Team Red" and could go to battle with the "villain of the week" again. But oh well. FYI, The Blacklist got picked up for another season today.
I doubt Redemption does . . . in fact I think it didn't They might pull a fast one and merge the storylines Rocket River
@Rocket River I passed on Redemption. Are there any big "blacklist" takeaways that are important from that tangential show?
Just finished watching the last episode. THIS is a show worth watching. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time.
I have to catch up on the latest episode It has been consistently good .. . was GREAT earlier but still good now Rocket River
