Maybe you know about this site. Maybe you don't. But I just found it earlier today, so I'm passing on the info. Last30.com tracks MLB stats and spits out some nifty line/bar graphs. Here are some examples: Houston Astros player batting averages over the last 30 games: Brad Ausmus's batting average over the season: Dan Wheeler's ERA over the season: (Our new closer?) DISCUSS.
Awesome graphs. Ausmus's slump blows me away. He was a career .260 hitter for a long time, which is only a little below average. Then he hit the entire 2nd half last year exceptionally well (for him), and started strong--I mean, in the beginning of JUNE dude's avg. was still over .300. I remember thinking how late in the year it was for Bradley to be over .300 and wondering how long he'd sustain it. I totally expected him to gradually drop down to .270 or so, but to go from there to .227 over the next 2 months is some serious slumping.
Why Preston Wilson is gone (on-base % for OFs in the last 30 games): Wacko stat of the day (on-base % for 3Bs over the entire season):
