The worst part was that nobody did. Literally noone even said anything to him immediately afterwards. We looked bad, noone should've punched him or anything, but, they should've at least approached him about it. We looked like a bunch of sissies.
This. As far as Scola, yes he's a flopper and makes things seem worse than they are but some people have called him soft, a p***y and whatnot but that's just not the case. He acted really mature and under control in this case and also the stomp incident, but in a way it is not standing up for yourself and whimping out. Like you said, the whole team did nothing which showed our true colours. Can you imagine that happening in 93-94, Maxwell would've started something and you can bet your ass a fight would've broken out. Even OT and Hakeem would've stood behind him.
FIBA and NBA likely have different technical foul rules. For one thing I am not sure FIBA can fine a guy the same way NBA can.
If Maxwell would've have done that, he couldĀ“ve been suspended for the whole season, and we needed him for the 94 playoffs and nba finals.
I hate floppers. You can say what you want about the Derek Fisher incident, but you can not let a man step on you .
