Don't read too much into it. 75% chance Justice doesn't even know who Stoudemire is.

    "Amare Stoudamire was vetoed."

Interesting comment. I wonder exactly how he was vetoed, and by whom. Could Phx be demanding too too much? Or is it just the guy, and his OTT salary demands? Or ?

The Artest vs Ariza has been done to death. We know we got the better end of the deal.

I am very interested in the Amare comment. I would have love to had seen that guy in a Rockets uniform. If only we could be flys on the wall in those interesting meetings...

To me this seems to be the most eye-popping comment. If Justice isn't talking out of his ass, Morey apparently is going after a FA next offseason. Given our salary situation, this means Battier's definitely on his way out. Scola could be traded too, if we don't want to lose him for nothing next year.

Maybe they are trying to get un-injury prone players! Would be nice have a season with out injury.

This strengthens my idea that Adelman wants to build up young players to become allstars. He wants them to play as a unit and when that 2nd or 3rd star player arrives this team will be ready to go.

and it means McGrady is staying......

we won't necessarily be going for a superstar FA like LBJ/Wade/Bosh...but we can get a 10-15 dollar player like Joe Johnson if we let McGrady's contract expire.

    Shane's probably gone for sure......

Injuries and sports go together like the Internet and rumors.

But, what might have incurreda 'Veto'? As in,

    which team?
    signability?
    Amar'e's eye - n - j - u - r - y?
which team was demanding what from the other?
Or - might Justice have just been talkin' out his arse?

Young players tend to be less injury prone and more durable. Building up young players is a good idea.

Jesus man don't look into it. It doesn't mean Battier is out. Justice has no clue what the cap situation is. He is in fact talking out of his ass. He gets paid to do that.

    Lets reevaluate this article guys.

"GM Daryl Morey's goal was simple. He wanted every acquisition player to be one the Rockets would have for the long haul, or a player he could use to make a trade at some point down the road."
    groundbreaking

"So Trevor Ariza makes the Rockets better next season and in the years to come. So does Chase Budinger, Jermaine Taylor and David Andersen."
way to just hash out new players names

"When Morey was done, he'd built a very nice supporting cast. Now all he needs is a couple of stars. Yes, that."

Oh really? We didn't know that

The Rockets are going to be young, aggressive and fast. Shane Battier and Luis Scola will be their leaders. Aaron Brooks will be their most exciting player.
Congratulations, you watched the Yao-less Rockets/Lakers series

    Alright I am done.

I don't see how all those rolleyes add up to Battier staying.

And apparently, you don't know the cap situation either. If you did, you'd realize that there's zero chance of us signing an impact FA next year if Battier and Yao stays on the books. Short of us waiving every other player on the roster.

Ron is freaking crazy. He got on a bus in his underwear with the owner on a contract year. Imagine what he is going to do with a 3 year contract now in L.A.

When did I say we could sign a big time free agent and maintain Battier? I am saying everything Justice says is trivial, he just likes to type, and that you cannot look deeply into his comments. You misunderstand me, I know the cap, all 99ers do.
