That would be disappointing. I really can't find 7 losses in our remaining schedule. I think we continue on the current pace and go 57-25.
55+ would be a massive accomplishment this year. 60+ would be realistic next year after a year under MDA and hopefully a few reinforcements.
The thing is, did we expect the Rockets to lose at home versus the Pacers? Those games happen. I look at the schedule and there are a number of games the Rockets "should" win, but let's see. Rockets "should" beat the Pelicans,Nuggets,Nuggets,Pelicans group coming up. Let's see if they do that. How they handle getting through that group will give us a better indication on the final couple of weeks.
I don't think people mention how close harden is to a triple double lol. If he wanted to sacrifice our game plan in transition in order to get more rebounds than he would also have a triple double at the expense of losing a couple wins
Lol...people on here getting the big heads after blowing out the shitty Lakers the other night. Rox don't play with the mental consistency of a 60 plus win team.
This team is too erratic. We desperately need a second star. And most importantly, play defense! Teams that aspire to something important play defense! It's something we still do not understand! Houston has defensive coach?
Every ****ing single time you make a thread like this or a we play no contenders or a Rockets about to take off thread, we inevitably get the L If yall care about the Rockets you wouldn't make such 1 star threads
I keep hearing people say, "If we didn't blow those easy games..." Well, here is the news for you. EVERY team blow those games. Otherwise, the best team would go through the season undefeated. In fact, we are actually pretty good at NOT blowing those games this season. That's why when you project the final record, you don't just write down a W whenever you see we are the better team. If you look at 10 games playing teams that are supposed to be inferior, you can only project 8 or 9 wins. In our remaining games, we are going to play 5 winning teams and 9 losing teams. We are 13-16 (.448) against winning teams. So I project 2-3 against those teams. We are 33-6 (.846) against losing teams. So I project 8-1 against those teams. 10-4, or 56-26 overall, is my prediction.
Countdown to the next thread: Can the Rockets win their last 13 games in a row so they can reach 60 for the season?
As long as we get that 2:1 ratio and finish 55-27, I'm good; just like the good ol' Counter-Strike days.
Cuz why? The important thing is we already beat vegas preseason odds by a healthy margin. Just remember that.
