If any of you have followed the Trail Blazers the past couple of years, you know that they stagger Lillard and McCollum. This allows them to have one of the two on the floor at all times. Either Harden or CP3 will come out of the game at around 7 minutes or so remaining in the first quarter and then come back in when the other goes out at around 3 to 2 minutes remaining in the quarter. This allows for your flow of the game to continue and also pair EG with both point guards. This will be very very interesting to see. I'm guessing CP3 would be the one to come out earlier since he's the older of the two and could use the earlier rest. That might make him the primary ball handler to start out the game though and Harden plays more of the SG role till CP3 is out.
I really want to see Harden play off ball. With ty, he couldn't do it and the few times this season he's 8 ft behind the 3pt line just chilling.
Lmao, I appreciate the concern after the initial 2 minutes after I had posted there no responses... my world was falling apart. It was as if someone was taking a club to my pe...
1st quarter Paul sits at the 7min mark and comes back in at the 2min mark. Harden sits at the 2min mark. 2nd quarter James enters at the 7min mark. Paul sits at the 7min mark and comes back in at the 2min mark 3rd quarter Paul sits at the 7min mark and comes back in at the 2min mark. Harden sits at the 2min mark 4th quarter Paul sits at the 7min mark and comes back in at the 4min mark. (earlier if losing or tightly contested) Harden comes in at the 7min mark. (earlier if losing or tightly congested) Chris Paul 30mpg or so James Harden 34mpg or so Together 16mpg or so
The point is to have an elite floor general for all 48 minutes of the games. Dantoni had specifically said that. He has also said he will cut down James minutes and Paul only averages 30-32mpg already
Ty Lawson was truly terrible. I'm not sure if that's a viable sample size. What did Harden look like with Westbrook on the floor at the same time?
Yep. I was having fun with them in 2K. Love in that game that you can do advanced rotations and choose when guys come in and out. Most of the time I had them separated with the exception of the beginning of the 1st and third and end of the 4th. I like to pair most of Nene's minutes with Harden (those two are magic together) and Paul with Capela.
That's not really fair, too. Harden's role was completely different. I mean ****, he even guarded Kobe decently back then. Dude now struggles to guard PJ Tucker and who was that white fella in Milwaukee who lit Harden up.
They could possibly have around 18-20 minutes together. Even with staggering, both McCollum and Lillard had 35 minutes played last season. You may not want to run Chris Paul 35 but he might be able to give you 33-34?
