Look at Yao's 2 man ratings. He is positive with everybody except....guess who?

    Player pair ratings:
    http://www.82games.com/0506/0506HOUP.HTM

Didn't see the link on the Rockets actual page.

This is one of the reasons I'm glad Morey is being brought in. Hopefully he can convince JVG to take these numbers seriously.

Well, I guess we can draw the conclusion that Yao is not enough.

    Now flame me. :p

what's the meaning of pair rating? It's always 5 players on the court playing together, and yet a pair rating. To that rating says nothing unless you can say the other has nothing to do with the two in the pair.

Yea, that was a great analysis. We were making some moves but Swift and Anderson acquisitions were suppose to pay dividends and didn't. Combine that with injuries and we just never could get there.

    1. Hopefully our draft pick can be an impact player. Somebody analyzed that last 15 years of 6-10 draft picks and it looks VERY promising.

    2. Hopefully we can swing a trade for Swift to get an upgrade.

    3. I think Rafer could have a breakout season next year. He'll be comfortable in his role right from the start. Hopefully he'll practice his 3-ball this summer.

    4. Yao has now emerged. Hopefully TMac can stay healthy. If so ...and the 1st 3 "hopefulls" come true, next season could be contendership.

So this proves Yao is playing 1 on 9 all the time. Oh wait, add 3 refs, so that's 1 on 12.

Our big man still puts up those numbers 1 on 12!? What an animal! :D

Looks like if Luther can learn how to play the point to a decent low turnover level we will be set.

Luther has improved a lot offensively. However, Luther is a terrible man-to-man defender, despite getting a lot of steals. His man always shoots over him or blows by him. He needs to learn from David Wesley how to defend.

Something would be wrong if the sum were a positive number.

Give it a couple of years and Luther will be our point. I like how his mid range game has blossomed. If he could shoot like is able to. Defend 1's like wesley used to. He would be a good fit for us.

Since this team is built around Yao...the best pairs with Yao are...

    TMac
    Swift
    Head
    BOWEN

No wonder Bowen got that new contract. One of the best 2 man combos on the team. Yao and Bowen.

Great work. How come nobody gave you love including me.

One thing noticed Swift has the 3rd best PER on our team. JVG might argue what's the good and bad to count, because Swift is not the 3rd guy he trust/likes most on this team for sure.
