Are you kidding? It is the exact same deal you proposed to me a week and a half before that I let expire, and re-proposed back (with different scrubs from your side) with the exact same picks in the comments as you had.
This is why drinking and trading do not mix... Next trade probably be agreed upon while texting... When will this madness stop!!
I'm fine with it going through. A deal is a deal. But I didn't see the picks involved via the message.
Think it's entirely possible that Flash is blind at this point. Nobody could possibly draft and set lineups like that and still reasonably claim to have sight.
Lineups like what? I'm sure that's just the butthurt talking, since I got the best out of the Thor for Scherzer deal.
Syndergaard hasn't lived up to the hype, but it was either Votto or Springer as my other option. So I like what I done. Still a keeper. I do have Corey Seager available if anyone wants him as a keeper next year, send me some picks.
That was the ultimate dumb-mutha f***a deal. But I'm happy with the picks I got that helped me getting the keepers I have though. You shoulda seen the uproar I caused when I traded Jay Bruce for Curtis Granderson before the playoffs.... main reason why we have a trade deadline now. These morons thought Bruce was keeper material, which he might have been... for like ONE season. Meh.
Yeah, Flash got me. I had the best record all year but week 22 was not a good one for my team on the whole. It was really a bullpen mismatch that did it - I lost the 2 RP spots by ~100 points and am going to end up losing by 50ish.
I really had to churn out these last few wins. With Kris Bryant, Aaron Judge, Chris Sale, and Jose Abreu all hitting the DL around the same time I'm surprised I've been able to patch it up and hang in there as long as I have. Hopefully my luck keeps up with @Rook these next two weeks.
Congrats @Rocketball you made some awesome pitching acquisitions throughout the past 2 weeks and your hitters were pretty freakin consistent. Seems like my top pitchers became extremely shaky through these 2 rounds, so terrible timing for me.
Feels great to finally win this thing as it seems I have gone to the dance several times, but each time my team throws out a stinker. This year was tough, especially the last several weeks of season and playoffs as it seemed I had to add/drop pitchers each week to field a competitive lineup. Good thing my hitter core was strong and fairly healthy, but it also took a lot of luck - @FLASH21 missing Sale in the championship series for the most part made all the difference in win versus a loss. Great season guys............
