The JVG thread in the dish brought me to a point There is only one former rocket I just truly don't like . . . .Snotty No-Tippin Pippen beyond that . . . I am pretty good with all the rockets past and present Once a Rocket . . . always a Rockets except for Snotty Drippin Pippen Rocket River No one else comes to mind now
As analysts, I don't like Charles Barkley or Kenny Smith. They go out of their way to be critical of the Rockets.
Moochie, I was so glad when we got rid of him, then so sad when we got him back, then so happy when we got rid of him again.
can someone fill me in about all the drama behind Pippen? I hear it all the time but i dont know what actually happened
Outside of Quitten, the only player I disliked was Cato because he was so lethargic on the court, but he redeemed himself in his final season here, and made for good trade bait for TMac. I didn't really like Mo Taylor and Eddie Griffin because they had so much potential and wasted it, but I cannot say that I truly disliked them.
Thomas "Two Sandwiches" Hamilton Scottie "Barkley's sorry fat butt" Pippen Mike James "Biatch" (from 2005) Rhoderik "Rudy hated me" Rhodes Sedale "Fat, drunk and stupid" Threat Sam "Crack" Mack (I met the dude...whatadick) That's all I can think of for now...I really didn't watch basketball before 1992...
Pippen basically blamed Barkley for their first round exit via the Lakers back in 1999, depsite not doing much himself other than standing around the three-point line and getting abused by Kobe Bryant. To be fair, Pippen's back was completely shot and our expectations shouldn't have been so high, but he was flat out wrong in calling out Charles who really gave his all that year. IIRC, he also lobbied to get traded to the Lakers. It would have been interesting to see how things would have played out had he not quit on the team. They actually had a pretty good year all things considered and adding Francis could have kept them in the hunt if Olajuwon and Barkley could have managed to stay healthy (yeah huge it).
Agreed. Although after several years I'm still in mild shock that Oakley ever played for us (even if briefly).
