Exactly. OP - This is a byproduct of DM's wonderful alchemy...no rebuild was the almost impossible task he was charged with, by Les....reload...Give me a contender...and he has succeeded beyond anyone's wildest Dreams.
That's great but that's all because of Harden, Paul, Capela, MDA etc Its just upsetting Anderson could be replaced by vet min guys like Babbit or Toliver and this team wouldnt skip a beat.
Anderson's contract was a reflection of the NBA cap change and the availability of players at the time, not to mention his skillset was coveted for our offense. His contract is not that outrageous, he's just under performing. I'm really not so sure we'd be able to do much better with the 7-8 mil we'd save from him having a 12~ mil/yr type contract. We have a great team and Anderson is a big part of it. Quit ya b****in.
Ryan has yet to have a better playoffs performance for us than Brewer did in 2015. At least Brewer showed up when it counted the most for us
Ryan Anderson hasn't been playing well this year? WTF clutchfans, how has this not been discussed. You figure at least one of us would have noticed. Alas, not every contract can turn out as well as Luol Deng, Joakim Noah, Evan Turner or Nicolas Batum.
Only one going to the playoffs "How did the Andersons get tickets to the Big Game!?" - Parson Rocket River
Pretty sure +- has a WHOLE lot to do with the teams overall +- and the Rockets lead the league in point differential.
Is tucker really better than Anderson overall? Their stats sure back that up.... Besides being a better 1 on 1 defender than RA, what else is he better at ? What has he done to get rewarded the starting spot?
As much as we look at Ryan's shooting and aggressiveness doing so to determine his worth .... He really does do a lot of little things . It doesn't take a great athlete to box out or crash the boards ... It's effort and intelligence . So far this year , Ryan has stepped up his rebounding game . Last game vs Dallas for example he really helped on the boards in the second half . I think Ryan is gonna surprise in the playoffs this year . He looks more comfortable driving to the rim and I think his shooting confidence will rebound . Defensively he isn't great , but due to his size he can still be effective because he knows where to be and how to play solid team D . If teams abandon their ball movement to try and isolate on Ryan , I'll take that all day . We aren't gonna let him get ****ed repeatedly by KD ( we have other personell for that ) ... But I'll take Ryan in ISO D 90% of the time . ISO works for us because of spacing and because we have James and Chris . Few teams have both scorers of that level and spacing and creators ...
