Despite that defensive concern, the Mavs know they have a strong team.

"This team is one of the top three in the league," assistant coach Mario Elie said. "As you've seen in the playoffs, it's all point-guard play. Tony Parker, Steve Nash, Deron Williams, Baron Davis, that's what the playoffs come down to. I think Devin Harris is that guy for us."

Thanks Mario, we now know what the Rockets need.

PS.. Mario, Thanks for the greatness and tell the other great guards that played with you on the championships that some of us TRUE FANS love them.

We as the fans didn't want you to leave Houston. You should have been either our head coach or an assistant on our team!

Top 4 1 man wrecking crews: Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili, AI and Baron Davis.

The Rockets have ................ NOTHING! :D

Man I totally want Baron Davis in a Rockets uniform. I don't care about the Francis nostalgia, his game left with the ugly uniforms.

Let's take a look at last year
    West:
    Parker&Manu vs Nash
    Deron vs Baron
    East:
    "King"James vs Kidd
    Billups vs Gordon (4:0)

The rules had changed. It's a PG's world.

When I think of San Antonio, I think of Tim Duncan.

PG is important but you need a post presence.

What we need this year is SAM CASSELL. We are not going to get Nash or Chris Paul or Kidd...probably not even Andre Miller. But Sam Cassell should be possible.

    Leadership - check.
Smart point guard play - check.
    Winner mentality - check.

I know he is old and I know he's past his prime, but he is still a winner, and it would be a perfect feel-good story to have him come back to the Rockets and help them win another unexpected title.

Well, Rick says Rafer is our point guard. So, where does that put us? Somewhere the bottom half I suppose.

I'll agree with everything you said. However Sam is only capable of playing 10-15minutes a game. He won't get us into the playoffs that way.

    LAST! :(

The way Steve and Mike are playing right now, it really doesn't matter. So I would say if they don't get their acts together, play Brooks. But under no circumstances is Wafer our answer to contending, it just won't happen!

Don't expect any trades until close to the deadline since Morey thinks that if you trade before then, then you are the one that is giving up the most. (Doesn't it take both teams, which could make both of them the loser in the deal?)

Let's, you and I, start a campaign to get BD wearing our Rockets uni. I'll trade Tmac and whatever guards they want for BD and another guard.

Francis still has game. He needs to play his game. And McGrady needs to let it happen. Francis has gone beyond unself to the absurd by passing all the time. He has overcompensated to fit in. I'm glad he's passing but he needs to start getting to the rim and finishing.

    Stevie, unleash thyself.

man, back in the day Steve > BD, BD had all these injuries, he couldn't shoot. Now he's improved big time. His game eventually got better, but more importantly that guy is a leader.
