It's becoming clear that talent who take HGH will dominate their sport in ways . . . . that have never been seen before. Note, Bond, Arod , McGuire etc are shamed for what they accomplished after their period of roids, whereas Messi (just as talented) is untouchable. He was pumped full of HGH for a long time.
It's because Messi has an actual growth disorder that he was using HGH to treat. Unlike Bonds or McGwire, he had a legitimate prescription for it. Bonds and McGwire were also using it to build muscle mass. Messi is like 5'7" 150 lbs. It's not like he was trying to become big and muscular and I'm not sure how much that would help in soccer anyway.
Soccer or futball is a team sport and important qualities are speed and technique. Sure it would be nice to have some leg muscles but it is not like it is used the way basketball player gain upper body strength It is not an important criteria.
If it gave him leg muscle, then it helped. Swing speed. Pace. If you are quicker at everything, that's gotta give him a huge advantage. When I was growing up, the guys with big thighs were the best soccer players, and there was no HGH at the time. It was strictly a decisive advantage on the field. As far as upper body strength, that probably is not as big a deal, but some of soccer does include fighting off defenders. And if you can push them off, you have an advantage Messi or otherwise. The preponderance of evidence is that it substantially helps athletes in every sport.
Messi isn't about power and athleticism, there's a reason Barca supported him that much from an early age on. He would destroy anyone no matter what medication he got, HGH doesn't make you a brilliant individual player in football.
If you do not have Messi's talent, chances are that guys with leg muscles are just being blue collar type of players are very high.
Does Messi get injured? Does Messi have more fast twitch muscle fibers than your average speedy short midfielder? If he had Ronaldos body, people would talk about it nonstop. But he doesnt look like he works out so people tell themselves it's all talent. Guys like bonds were insane talents at the highest level before they touched hgh. But it's in Messi blood, his dna and muscles and will have affected his performance from day 1. No doubt it's given him an edge, regardless of his brilliance.
