We shouldn't be talking about how Rudy was pretty much forced to abandon Maxwell, to win with Drexler. We should be focusing on how Rudy was pretty much the only coach to get Maxwell to play at his best (on a Title team), in between all his tantrums. That's his coaching style. He can get through to anyone, and we sure needed Max. Sure glad the vaunted Spurs organization (Maxwell's drafting team) couldn't get through him the two years prior. All good things. None of them will get you anywhere as an argument for the HOF. I don't want to go into any more details because I've been on this board too long to get into any discussion where I speak less than pure praise for Rudy T, but I maintain my original opinion that Rudy T was not a trailblazer in the department of 4-out system other than that one playoff run.
