Hoping Bregman doesn't turn into Chris Burke...

I think Reed goes back to the minors and Valbuena moves over to 1B fulltime. Bregman will DH and play some 2B, 3B, and SS to give Altuve and Correa a chance to rest and bat DH.

Burke could only dream of being Bregman.

lol why would he turn to chris burke or jason lane?

reed got a chance to show what he has. Kemp got a shot to overthrow altuve, even moran got here. he'll be here before 30.

Unlike Les and McNair (perhaps they should take note), Crane simply stays out the way and signs the checks. I give him props for allowing Luhnow and Ryan to run the day-to-day baseball operations.

Very interesting. I suspect he'll play 3rd, Valbuena to first, Marwin back to utility, Reed to Fresno, and Bregman to DH, traded, or his promotion delayed.

I like this as our (hopefully near) future lineup going:

    1) RF Springer/Rasmus/Marisnick
    2) 3B Bregman/Gurriel/Marwin
    3) 2B Altuve/Marwin/Bregman
    4) SS Correa/Marwin
    5) DH Gurriel/Reed/Gattis
    6) 1B Valbuena/Reed
    7) LF Rasmus/Marisnick/Marwin
    8) CF Gomez/Marisnick/Marwin
    9) C Castro/Gattis

Maybe trade one of these guys and a few prospects for a star starting pitcher.
We're in good shape right now.

Props to Luhnow and the FO.

This is happening much quicker than most anticipated. I like our chances to make a playoff push. Go Stros

Why does it matter if he hasn't played in the outfield? They can just start putting him in the outfield right now, if they were ready to call him up (assuming they would use him in left). He's played only SS at AAA so far, does that mean he wouldn't have come up and play 3B? Misuse of his talents, probably yeah. Going to be interesting to see what they do

    Talk about a crowded infield!

    Altuve is an MVP candidate.

Correa is 22 year old rookie of the year making the proper adjustments to soon becoming a perennial all-star.

Valbuena has kicked off the dust from his tires and is playing like the team MVP for over a month.

Reed after his o-15 AB, is hitting well, and getting his feet wet; plus he projects as a real time prospect.

Bregman is making mince meat of the AAA pitchinging.

Gattis got himself some new value when he proved he is quite capable of playing catching and DH'ing duties.

Gonzales is always a clutch professional type player who can play every infield position at least average.

Jason Castro might not hit a lot, but he is near the top on getting on base, which is actually super important for giving Springer RBI opportunities.

And then you look at the outfield, and Springer is having a great season. Rasmus is being his typical type of productive player. Gomez is starting to hit his stride after a horrible start. Marisnik only need to be a .220 hitter with his defensive gold glove ability.

Where do you play Gurriel. Who gets sent down to the minor? Does Bregman's immenent promotion all of a sudden become wait till next year?

Is Luhnow working on a trade for starting pitching? If so, I hope that Bregman isn't involved.

One more note, I recall hearing Luhnow say a while back that Altuve could play Left Field, which was surprising. I'm just thinking about what I heard back during spring training.

But wow if they did run out this line up.

    RF - Springer
    2B - Bregman
    LF - Altuve
    SS - Correa
    3B - Yulieski
    1B - Valbuena / Gonzalez
    CF - Rasmus / Gomez
    DH - Reed / Gattis
    C - Castro

This is such great news! I really hope they don't trade Bregman.

Correa/Altuve/Springer/Bregman/Gurriel/Reed for the next 4 seasons at least!

    Get Hyped!

2017 Positional Roster [assuming Castro/Rasmus re-sign, the others walk]

    C - Castro
    1B - Gourriel
    2B - Altuve
    SS - Bregman
    3B - Correa
    LF - Rasmus
    CF - Marisnick
    RF - Springer
    DH - Reed

Gonzalez, Hernandez, Gattis on the bench.

As closely as a lot of us here follow the minor league guys, and with so many misses on prospects, all of a sudden the team is super loaded in the ML's!!! Props to Luhnow for going after quality player prospect after another.

It can't be denied that this team was lacking another bat or two. and Yulieski projects into one of those. Bregman into the other!!

And it seems Bregman is about to leap into the top 3 prospects in all of baseball (if not the #1 prospect)....

Bregman is the more natural athlete and a stronger arm. He can transition to LF in 1 week. It makes sense to let him play there for a week in AAA and then call him up now.

Relax fam. Bregman isn't going anywhere.

I can't believe anyone even suggested it. Bregman isn't just some guy. He's star material.

It's crazy... during May, we all said this team wasn't as talented as we thought they would be.

Now we're contemplating whether they have too much talent.

If Bregman can become our everyday DH for the rest of the year, then our lineups could be CRAZY.
