1. Today's equivalent of an ENFORCER. A tough role player with a jump shot. Think Charles Oakley/Anthony Mason/Xavier McDaniel lite. Need to fix our soft tendencies. 2. Bench Scoring. Could be injuries but our bench has been terrible. Need to fix to contend. All contenders run deep. 3. Floor General. No player, or coach for that matter, on the roster has enough balls or clout to waive off Harden and run a play. That said, Harden could be that guy but hasn't show it. Can Harden waive himself off??? :grin:
I want to see harden with the ball less and have a PG run the offense I want Morey to make a trade and get some athletic players that can play perimeter defense A backup CENTER
Mostly Morey needs to acquire more black players. No recent NBA team has won a title without a number of black players on the roster.
All the talk about adding players to the team....only five can be on the floor at any given time. In the clutch, you're going to have Harden and Parsons on the floor. Having an athletic defender on the bench isn't really going to improve things. I want our main guys to develop as defenders and hope our coach puts together a defensive system that helps them succeed.
1. Head Coach-- alleviate defensive problems, offensive consistency 2. Better backup swingman and combo forward-- get garcia, and casspi the **** out 3. Keep Asik and make him happy.
The #1 need on this team is a distinguished top 3 big rotation. We have one championship level big playing on this team right now: Dwight. And that's it. Everybody else attempting to play at the 4 and 5 spots is simply generic pieces parts that are not championship caliber big men. We need 2 guys to play consistently alongside Dwight and when Dwight is on the bench. They ARE NOT on this roster currently unless Asik comes back and commits to the team. If Asik does that and we keep him we are still one quality 4 away from championship level and that is still our biggest need.
I just want to see some growth. I feel like we have made no strides since the beginning of the season. Aside from the injuries, I hold the coaching staff accountable for our lack of improvement. James Harden has been playing unacceptable defense and IMO, it's up to the coaches to hold him accountable. Roster wise, If asik needs to be traded I would like to get a back up center and a back up two guard. McHale needs to be better at managing minutes, but right now he just doesn't have good options. So hopefully, those two additions will help the team as a whole.
1. Need to add a perimeter two way player. 2. Improve defensive rebounding 3. Increase structure in offense.
