This season, we signed and traded for some role players and bench players to help the team to improve, only 6 player on the current roster have been with the Rockets for 2 or more years. But yet we still can't become a legit contender by those minor roster moves. At least the Rockets can pass the first round in the playoffs, some major roster moves has to be done in this summer in orders to take this young franchise to the next level. What I meant by major moves is some kind of blockbuster trades, I predicted that by the beginning of next season, half of the current team is going to be gone, including some of our starters. Trade Options: Steve: Major headache for this season. He is making the maximum salaries, but certainly does not acting nor playing like a leader. Rockets is going no where if he continue to play the way he’s playing right now. CD has to decide on trading him while he’s value are still high, and free up the cap space. Cat: Making some bad decisions once in a while, but over all a good player. He will be valuable with trading combo like MoT or Cato, could be a star player in the eastern conference. Mo Taylor: Legit power forward, but taking too much cap spaces. He would be a good trading bit for teams like SuperSonic who need a big man inside. Cato: Legit defender and rebounder, but also expensive. Valuable for almost all of the eastern teams, and few western teams. Spoon: on last 2 years of his contract, maybe taken by teams who want to free up their caps. The others are neither on a small contract or not tradable because their value. My prediction for next season’s roster: PG: Eric Snow/ Duhon/ Wilks SG: Kobe/ Pike/ JJ SF: JJ/ Boki PF: Shareef Abdur-Rahim/ Tierre Brown C: Yao/ Chris Mihm
I say we trade our team for the Memphis Grizzlies. Or just to make it exciting, do a 3 team deal where we trade our roster to Denver, Denver trades their roster to Memphis and we get the Memphis roster. I think that works salary-wise. I say we include coaching staff and front office as well.
Looks like dreamcasting to me. Kobe, Duhon, Rahim, and Snow replacing Mobley, Francis, Cato, and Taylor?
as long as we're dreaming, in my dream, kobe's in jail and the lakers have broken up. We sign Karl Malone for $5 a year and he has to clean underwear and polish the trophies.
If I was Carol Dawson, here are the following moves that I would make this coming offseason... TRADED Steve Francis Cuttino Mobley Maurice Taylor RETIRED Charles Oakley Mark Jackson WAIVED Alton Ford Mike Wilks ROSTER PG-Brent Barry/(received rom trade) SG-(received from trade)/Piakowski SF-Jim Jackson/Bostjan Nachbar/Adrian Griffin PF-(received from trade)/Padgett/Weatherspoon C-Ming/Cato Needs To Fill Backup Point who can deal out around maybe 4 apg and doesnt turn the ball over. Power Forward that can average a double double and play some D Shooting Guard: Somebody who can really score as well as create and distribute the ball #1 PROBLEM THAT NEEDS FIXIN' 1. We were lacking players this past year who were able to really create for other people and dish out assists without turning it over constantly. WE NEED TO BREAK UP OUR CORE OF PLAYERS!!!
what a beautiful dream.. you just brought a tear to my eye. just don't let him do both at the same time.
i dont understand tierre brown at PF....but it really wont matter.....if the rockets pull that team next year i would seriously wet my pants......
my prediction: pg: eric snow/duhon sg: ray allen/mobley sf: jim jackson/al harrington pf: boozer/mo c; yao/free agent cato for harrington steve for allen boozer via fa and snow somehow
