The 2nd amendment says that we have the right to "bear arms", but is it something that you all agree with? Is having guns a good or bad thing? Explain your reasons why you agree or disagree with guns.

Having guns is a good thing. Having a massive income disparity is a bad thing.

Having guns may end up being the best thing for reducing the income disparity because it doesn't look like it's going to change any other way.

Guns are great to kill jealous materialist, big-government loving socialists with.

The 2nd amendment is a relic. Not only do we not have any well regulated militias, they're certainly not necessary for the security of a free state. The whole thing is beyond stupid.

I agree that we're rapidly approaching the realization that all political leaders are incapable or unwilling to settle the disparity and that drastic action is needed... but I really don't think an armed revolution is all that possible. Not without some sort of government shutdown.

Millions of people demanding Congress go home while insistently sitting on top of the capital might work better. I just don't see too many people logging off of facebook and wiring IED's or standing in front of the White house with a .308.

MLK has shown us the way to make a difference, only there is no galvanizing figure to lead the charge. Not enough people recognize the shifting baseline of fortune, and most of those that do are sufficiently disillusioned with the whole process to do nothing.

I wonder if California goes bankrupt.... if that may not lay the seeds needed for radical change.

Parent on probation for a gun felony and I have a decent amount of personal melancholy, so no firearms. But living in Texas and then midwest, I know too many decent, normal people with guns to really be against it. It's kind of fun finding out who owns guns by watching their reaction after some big shooting.

I've owned 3 guns in my life(.50 cal muzzle loader, 30-06, 12 gauge), I've shot quite a few different types of handguns as my uncle is a guns 'dealer'(legit) and loves them. I'm not going to lie, it is pretty damn fun to shoot, but if guns were ever outlawed I'd wouldn't mind a bit...I can see how they are dangerous...it's unfortunate that people use the constitution to justify their love for them even though they really make our society more dangerous than anything. Just my opinion.

One parent, all probation, no jail, and more for using then owning. And by no guns I mean I would never own one. "Not against it" meaning not against gun rights.

I don't own a gun, I don't want to own a gun. If you want to own a gun that's fine as long as you're not insane, a felon, or r****ded thne I have no probelm with you owning a gun.

Any guns owned by rtsy should be confiscated and redistributed to the masses.

    Otherwise, I'm okay with guns.

    I have several.

I'm okay with guns, I'm not okay with being able to shoot 50 rounds in 15 seconds.

I use guns to kill snakes. My wife prefers a shovel but she is brave and prefers hand to snake combat.

    I like my guns.

    I want more guns.

I have the right to both of those things, and I am thankful for it.
