I think someone suggested this already but if they try trapping Harden and CP they could just bring in Gordon to counter it?

 

Play with desperation. That's it.

 

Looking at rosters and possible strategy adjustments.....Rockets have the Warriors in not only “Check” but
“Checkmate.” Series is over, the Warriors just don’t know it. Or maybe they do......explains why they were so chippy in game 2.

Warriors role players will play better at home, crowd will be into the game, refs will be assisting the home team,
Curry will continue to struggle since the Rockets will continue targeting Curry defensively, other Warriors
will play harder and bring more energy offensively/defensively (going back to initial point).......

just a matter of Tucker/Gordon/Ariza shooting as well in Oracle, expect Luc Mbah a Moute and Ryno joining the
party (production offensively....but not necessary). Gerald Green doing what he has been doing; but slightly more.

Rockets confidence should be extremely high.......deservedly so.

 

The key to game 3 will be the refs.
Will they continue to let us abuse the princess of the nba?

I believe Kerr will try and get curry going and it might get KD out of rhythm.... maybe....
keep abusing curry on ISO’s.

If we can get production out of luc and Ryno this games a lock.

I don't think you understand my point. They would only double or hedge if it's not cp3 or Harden setting the screen. If cp3 or Harden sets the screen, they would switch. If they put Iggy and Klay on Harden and Cp3, then a switch would just mean Harden on Iggy or Harden on Klay.

They would put Curry on Ariza or Tucker, and then if one of those two tries to set the screen, they would blitz Harden with the double team forcing him to dump it off to Ariza or Tuck.

 

Would you say the Ryan Anderson relationship is beyond repair? I think our win in Oracle this year and last year were in no small part due to Ryno hitting some key shots.

Further if that relationship is cooked what do we do for his next two seasons other than trade him for equally bad contracts.

 

Very Simple

1. Get Harden to pass the ball and limit ISOs. This is a team game and no one can beat the Warriors alone

2. Harden needs to play some defense

3. Our role players needs to hit open 3s

If we do those 3 things, we win

 

Yes, our guys must treat this as Game 7.

 

There is no other choice, but to bring Gordon in. Lack of backup PG help hurts the Rockets here.

 

This really scares the living begeese out of me.
How long until luc is ok? Wouldn't it be better to shut him down until his shoulder is completely better? What can Rockets do to make Ryan feel better because we could sure use his shooting ability right about now.

ISO Curry
Constant balll movement
Moving without the ball
Switch everything on D
Play hard D for 48 minutes
Transition D
Make sure Klay and Steph feel (put a body on them at all times)
Any KD ISO should be guarded by Capela

 

Watch out for GS trying to slip screens on O and watchout on them trying to switch with other players instead of Curry to prevent him from being exposed by Harden.

And the Warriors might just let Durant shoot every shot.

Great! As long as everyone of us can hit on all cylinders then, Durant can wear himself out on both ends. Our bench really needs to step up because the longer this series is stretched the harder it will be for those guys to win.

 

Score more points than the warriors.

 

Keeping ariza out of foul trouble is our top priority. Rockets +/- is the highest with him on durant.

That being said, let ariza work on durant and try to make him beat us 1 on 1 while containing the rest.

Offensively we need ball movement. No more dribbling out the clock then chucking something up or making a desperate pass at the last second.

Chris Paul needs to be a facilitator than a shooter unless he gets hot

 

That was also first live bullet game of the year. So I don't think that game meant anything in the grand scheme of things except that the Rockets have a ton of talent.

 

Don't let Klay Thompson get shot attempts.
Attack Steph early and often.
Get Eric Gordon going and pray for a Great Harden Game.

Equals a win.

 

He was also 5-10 from 3 with 29 points in game 19 at oracle last year
