Did he not want us? Or we didn't want him?

Wish he was able to be closer to home.

I just wanted closure on the matter. Thanks!

Peterson practically begged the Texans to sign him; Texans weren't interested.

If you want to give "fairness" to the Texans, no one else signed him & Washington only signed him after losing Derrius Guice & Byron Marshall (and Samaje Perine/Chris Thompson may have been banged up at the time as well.)

30 year old running backs are risky.

He is a 33 year old running backs coming off 2 terrible seasons, there was no real reason for any team to think he would be good. The Redskins basically took a flyer on him after a few injuries.

I thought the same thing... I saw this coming from a mile away. I drafted him in fantasy after he signed with Washington. He's a beast, and people are quick to forget how good he is. He hasn't fallen off, and he makes guys miss better than any rb on our roster. Popped a 60 yard td yesterday too, so he still has the finishing speed. If Frank Gore could do it, why couldn't AP!??

Since 2014, he's missed 34 games and turned 33 this past spring. He was not good last year at all. That's why every other team in football left him unsigned until late August.

*No one* saw this coming, and retroactively slapping this on the Texans because YOU KNEW is a silly waste of everyone's time.

I don't think he's the best blocking or receiving back.

I did, and I'll say that theres still half a season left for him to get hurt, but injuries have been the issue, not athleticism... Big fan of his game... I watched the dudes opening practice vids and press conferences with the skins and knew he was about to bounce back. He had huge moments last year with a terrible offensive line in Arizona. I will say again... I drafted him in multiple fantasy football leagues and got laughed at for the selection by my buddies, and that was before he had played a pre-season game. I have used the Frank Gore comparison to no end. He's not a normal human being... He's freaking Adrian Peterson... Came back and lead the league in rushing after tearing his ACL 6 months earlier... I SAW THIS COMING!!!!!!!!! Texans whiffed on him just like every other team that thought he was going to be done. 99 percentile in athleticism doesn't happen often and even at 35 he'll be more athletically gifted than Alfred Blue is now... Redskins saw it the second he put on the pads...

I'll refer you to my other reply to someone who knows nothing about me claiming what I predicted... I majored in broadcast journalism, I watch sports leads like a hawk. I knew he was about to have a Frank Gore (Colts) type of resurgence. Health is his only obstacle, but predicted at least 1,000 yards and hoped (for fantasy purposes) he'd hit double digit td's. Just like I originally hoped he'd end up a Texan... Glad he's not, he's finding better success somewhere else.
