Yao seen eating cheese steaks and chatting with JVG today... what does this mean?

I'm sure he does, Yao had his best success under JVG.

Can't a man eat a cheese steak with another man without wanting that other man back?

Should Yao be eating cheesesteaks when his conditioning was a problem before the injury?

I kid! Let the man enjoy his cheesesteak.

Not super newsworthy since JVG lives in Houston, but it's just kind of interesting -- with all the problems going on with the Rockets right now, how do you think that conversation went?

    Seriously.......?

Who cares what Yao wants, this team has been wasting years away waiting for him to stay healthy and lead us to victory. Instead we have had disappointment after disappointment.

Lets do what the team wants for once, not what Yao wants.

This team needs to stop catering to Yao like the Cavs did to Lebron.

It means Yao Ming is retiring and joining JVG in the broadcast booth on ESPN/ABC.

I just merged my thread and this one and edited the original post/title to include the photo and links.

I don't think it's anything at all to do with Yao trying to get JVG back. Van Gundy cares about and keeps in touch with his players.

However, I do think that's a lunch between two people who could both be sought-after free agents this summer.

Maybe he's trying to convince Jeff to become an assistant to Adelman, so we can bring back that stifling JVG defense!!!

One of them will be sought after by NBA teams looking for an additional piece to get them over the top, the other will be sought after by NBA owners looking for an additional bobblehead night or the occasional Tsingtao signage.

That is interesting, JVG could sign somewhere and Yao could follow him.
