looks like it may be his achilles or something in that area...you can see his foot dorsiflex pretty forcefully when he fell..

doesn't look serious, and hope that it is not.

When he left game 3 against Lakers a couple years back, it didn't look serious either.

I call horsecrap on the knee to the thigh. How many people leave the game because of a knee to the leg and don't return? Very rarely? Another 'freak' accident? Yao is too damn fragile.

Look at his left ankle as he's falling. If he had managed to stay on his feet, there'd be no strain.

We have to somehow win this game. I'd vouch to say this is a must win.

you're not going to get a strain by getting hit...a strain is usually from a muscle being pulled/stretched suddenly, like when Deke tore his. If you look at Yao's left ankle, as he was falling, it dorsiflexes (opposite of calf raise) too quickly, and thats likely where the tendon stretch happened.

Yep, I don't remember to many people saying that night it was a bad injury either...IIRC.

Really? From what I remember, Yao was limping badly that game. You could tell he was really hurt. Tonight? He wasn't limping too much.

I remember him limping, sure, but the reports THAT NIGHT weren't ominous, that was my point.

Damn some of you were saying if Yao can't play back to back or more than 24 minutes than he shouldn't be in the lineup.

    There you got your wish
