All of the responses and troll-labelling are giving the guy precisely what he's looking for. Just let those moronic one-liners slide by with the attention they merit: none.
Actually what he did was put it into a spot to where AJ could adjust to it and move under it..... That is a GREAT deep ball.....something that the receiver has an advantage on..... DD
I think AJ was surprised when the ball was in front of him because he is used to being underthrown by schaub. That is the one area I would like to see schaub improve on (apart from learning to run faster).
As far as being without AJ. The Texans offense had one of their best TD drives in team history after AJ got hurt Sunday.
i would have to say second best; the best being the one against Pittsburgh where we controlled to clock for something like 11 minutes or something like that
What is Schaub going to do? His arm is not going to get any better. I honestly think the only thing Schaub has over Yates is experience. Yates has a better arm, mobility, pocket presence, and coordination. If Schaub would gave tripped on himself like Yates did on that long ball to AJ, it would have been a sack.
schaub is a very cerebral player who makes good decisions and has shown he can carry a team (see last year with no defense). He is and will be the starter when he comes back barring a tom brady like situation with yates carrying us to a superbowl. It could happen but i'm not overreacting to a good game by yates. He played good and composed but he also has a very good defense to thank and two good running backs also.
Just wanted to point an incorrect fact. Big Ben led his team to a 15-1 regular season record his rookie year and lost to the experienced Patriots in the conference championship. He won the Superbowl his sophomore year. Ultimately I think we will suffer the same fate by losing to the patriots in the conference championship and going for a run next year.
Given the injuries, and everything this team has overcome, making it to the playoffs would be a success. Winning a game once we're there would be the cherry on top.
i think the interception was a direct result of the hold. if you watch the play live, hes looking for walter, when he sees hes not open he tries to dump it down to Foster. Peterson had the pass sniffed out and was lying in the weeds waiting for that throw. It was a learning opportunity for him that didn't result in a turnover..
