    Trade successful!

I didn't have this exact proposal in mind(didn't really have one in mind yet) but yes I'm all open for acquiring Beezy! And speaking of your proposal, not bad at all. Miami gets STAT who would likely re-up with them. Phoenix gets 2 young assets in Budinger and Landry and an expiring in McGrady. Houston gets us a 2 guard in J. Richardson, Q. Rich could perhaps fill the role of Bud off the bench, and then get a young piece in Beasley. Not sure though if you start him or sit him over Scola? Not a bad proposal you came up with there. One I agree with.

Miami gives out ~14 million, gets back ~16 million.

Houston gives out ~27 million, takes back ~27.4 million.

Phoenix gives out ~29.74 million, takes back ~27 million

The salaries match better than you think. We might have to give up players or waive some to make this work, but that's a solid base to the deal.

Suns waiting on Philly to tell them whether Andre Igoudala will be included with Sam Dalembert for Stoudemire-Barbosa package, sources say.

    What ^^^ said.

To be clear, there's no deal for Suns with Philly unless Iguodala is involved. So far, Philly hasn't been willing to include him.

League source involved in Amar'e talks says he would be "shocked" if Miami could deliver through a third team the young talent Suns want.

Maybe not exactly LongTimeFan's proposal but be a third team in a Mia-Phx deal. Miami obviously wants Amar'e and that is his reportedly first choice. However Phx doesn't like what Miami has including Beasley. That's where a 3rd team is needed. Though really, all for talk. Forgone conclusion STAT ends up in Cleveland.

Several sources involved have all but ruled out this scenario: Phoenix does nothing and keeps Stoudemire.

As things stand now, the Cavs package of Big Z and Hickson is the most viable for Suns, sources say.

Why does Phoenix want Andre Igoudala when their gaping hole will be the PF/C spot? I'm not sure what's going on with Phoenix.

They'll probably take on Dalembert in that trade, giving them a bad contract but filling the hole.

I don't understand why Philly is reluctant to do this deal. STAT has his problems but he's still a much better player than Igoudala. Phoenix is even willing to take Dalembert, why isn't Philly jumping all over that deal?

They'll look bad if they don't resign him...don't think they want to be put in that position. It's one thing to get garbage talent for cap space but letting Amare walk after trading for him would put hate in the heart of their fanbase.

The Sixers don't want to part ways with Iggy. Plus, Amare would skip town after the season. Iggy's contract is big but they would be gutting their team if they traded him for basically nothing.

I think teams are realizing that having cap space this summer isn't so great after all because very few top-level players will be moving. I've been saying this since last summer. Teams like Philly that care (at least a little) about winning won't accept just cap relief in return for good players.

This is also why McGrady and his contract don't seem to be that valuable.

-- I think we can offer something better than that, something like

    Stoudemire-Barbosa for TMac/Landry/CBud

but it seems Morey values our young cores more than Stat, or Stoudemire just does not want to come to Houston (re-sign)

This. Think this was revealed to us last year, and Stevierebel has commented on it again this year as well.

JJ Hickson is a young piece who has a higher ceiling than anyone Rockets would offer and is the main reason the Cavs are the frontrunners for Stoudemire. Phoenix loves Hickson.
