I would be completely surprised if Shaq re-signs with the Cavs after this season. Not making megabucks and being reduced to a bench role, Shaq may decide to hang it up. It would be the right decision IMO. He's so far below what he used to be it's almost painful watching him now.
I thought Stoudemire hated having Shaq around in Phoenix. I wonder how it would work out this time. Lebron is also going to be the unquestioned #1 option, and Mo Williams will take touches, Stoudemire is a guy that has pouted and whined in the past when he doesn't get the ball.
Kerr is ****ing handing the Cavs the championship. If Z and Hickson is seriously all it takes for Amare, I'd gladly do T-Mac + Landry for him.
it is really sad to see the NBA become more top loaded then it has been in a long long time. It is even sadder to see the rockets getting left far far behind.
Once this trade happens, David Stern will allow it no more Part of his plan for a Kobe - LeBron finals.
The best part is that the Suns will most likely buyout Z's contract and he'll go back to Cleveland. As much as people are bagging on Les and Morey, we could have Sarver and Kerr running our team. Bleh!
Somebody's getting played if all it takes to get Amare is fricken J.J. Hickson and the rights to buyout Big Z. I highly doubt this trade would make it past Gregg Popovich's NBA committee that vetoes stupid trades.
What if Houston hopped in and offered a deal centered around: Miami: Amare Houston: Beasley, JRich, Qrich Phoenix: McGrady, Landry, Budinger --------- Beasley is only 20 years old, averaging 15.5 points in only 31 minutes this year. He can be our stretch four to stop teams from collapsing on Yao, and if Yao can't come back, it gives us a building piece moving forward. JRich would be included so Phoenix could dump his contract as well, but it also finally gives us a legitimate shooting guard, who conveniently expires along with Yao.
Off the top of my head, there's no way that trade works. Miami gets back 17 million, we get back 25 million give or take, and Phoenix gets back 26 million. Salaries shouldn't match at all.
