What's to keep private? League knows melo is going to be moved soon. I wouldn't doubt if an outlash like this can break the deal. This is a bluff from Denver.

Morey is in the corner watching, waiting to leech in and suck the life out of the trade.

what a hollow threat... I mean c'mon are the Nets afraid that NY's deal is gonna be better??? The Nuggets organization is to new/chicken to make a deal out of spite.... Denver is only shooting themselves in the foot...

so this melo-to-new jersey drama was all a diversion for trading melo to the rockets...

    Never know...

Maybe Morey called with a decent offer...Nuggets threw that "could be done this week" thing out there...made the price go up...

    Just saying...

Things are starting to get really Melo-dramatic. Let's see if Morey can his foot in the door. I really like Morrow but he wouldn't really fit in Yet.

well, when the deal wasnt kept private, billups got to learn of the deal and asked for a buyout instead. im sure the players and their agents are calling the front offices now making things more complicated.

Yeah. LOL what exactly does Denver want from NJ? The owner's first born child?

Being hardline is one thing, but I think Denver is going too far on this one. The longer they delay the less incentive NJ has for trading him, and the more confident NY becomes that Melo lands in their lap.

Its a freaking hollow threat. Denver will trade Melo for scraps unless NJ keeps the discussion private? Who the hell would believe this crap?

I hope this all blows up in Denver's face. They are asking for way too much.

I think you're confused. That trade package you have going to Denver is actually the one the Lakers will be sending to NO for Chris Paul.

Rookie GM dealing with a rookie GM. Denver wants the NJ GM to take out the trash and pick up his shirts from the dry cleaners. NYK's offer will/can not beat NJ's. NJ has a more than fair offer on the table that can't be beat - if Carmelo is willing to sign with that team.

On the other hand, this may also be Denver's way of getting the only team he'd sign the extention with back to the barginning table in an attempt to up what was their final offer (include Fields). I think NY will hold firm.

true but they can get someone else to take on harrington. it shouldn't be a sticking point when you are getting favors and all of those picks and cap relief.
