    I'm sick of this extended positivity campaign praising this POS. Just crawl into a hole, and leave the nba alone!

    It remains to be seen how much of his lackey Silver is. I'm not optimistic.

    Anyone who thinks Stern isn't worthy is delusional. If it wasn't for Stern, most of the posters in this forum wouldn't even be into NBA.

    Are you guys kidding me? This guy did so much for the league. Everything he did was for it's expansion and it's betterment. I was quite surprised when I walked into this thread and saw all of this hate.

    Mourning, Hardaway, and Richmond are all making the HOF this year. All very good players, but this seems like a weak HOF lineup to me.

    david stern has done so much for the nba and the game of basketball. anyone who doesn't appreciate what he has done needs to be educated.

    Yes, the NBA made the Spurs miss critical free throws and then made Chris Bosh get an offensive rebound and then made Ray Allen hit a 3

    most of the younger generation of basketball fans don't realize how much he expanded and globalized the NBA brand. If it wasn't for him, players would be making a fraction of what they do now, and playoff games would be shown on tape delay.

    What was more responsible for globalization of the NBA -- Stern or the fall of the Soviet Union? Also, Yao Ming is more responsible for the big influx of China viewers than anyone else.

    I have no problem with Stern getting inducted, but globalization could have never been achieved to the levels he gets credited with in a Cold War era.

    wow. really. I don't get this

    Who is more responsible for the increase in Salaries -- Stern or the Players Association? And playoffs on tape delay was more about cable TV channels not reaching homes until the '80s, so there was only broadcast channels carrying the NBA. Bird and Magic also had a lot to do with TV competing for contracts.
