I don't like Sura, and never will.

I don't like Wesley, and I hope we get rid of him, same with Sura.

    Give Head more PT.

Trade Sura/Wesley for something else, when/if possible.

    Give Head more PT.

Why the dislike for Sura?

FYI - Bob Sura played in 61 games for the Rox last year and the Rockets were 44-14 in those games (a 72% winning percentage). Compared to the 7-14 games in which he did not play (a 33% winning percentage).

Please back up why you don't like Sura with reasons, rather than just making an ignorant statement (unless you're a YOF, I highly doubt you'll be able to give a good explaination on how the Rockets are a better team w/o Sura). Obviously the statistics show the Rockets are a much better team with Sura in the lineup.

Wow, when we didn't have Bobby Sura, the Rockets played like they had SAR!

I predict that when he does come back, he'll shoot 1-7 in his first game and this BBS will start 12 threads saying how much he sucks and that we need to trade him.

PLEASE. We'd be undefeated right now if we had Tmac and nobody would be talking about Sura.

    Exactly man! THANKYOU! :D

People seem to hate him with as much passion as Stevie Francis. I have no idea why.

We need Sura badly, can't wait till he comes back. We are going to be set then.

Sura's a decent player, but calling him the X-factor, especially while McGrady is out, is ridiculous. It would be nice to have home court in the playoffs, but we're not going to get it against San Antonio anyway, and with a healthy TMac we can beat any (other)WC team, so I'm not exactly concerned about our record without him. And how many shots did Wesley take?? What a joke of a player he's become...

Sura is a bad shooter, slow, and injury prone.

Rafer can do anything Sura can do and more, a lot more.

Yeah cool stats, so your saying Sura was the reason we went 44-14? In the games he played in... other players also played in those games...

I'd put that record on Yao, Tracy, Howard, Deke, Barry, and Mike James, Sura just dribbled around alittle bit and then put up that slow ass three point shot he has every so often.

But that's just what I think...

An X-Factor does not have to be the best player on the team, not even close, he can be a no skills guy like Bo Outlaw, he can be a clutch specialist like Robert Horry, an energy guy like Darrell Armstrong, or a guy that adds toughness to a team like Bob Sura.

Sura could have been the difference the last two games because Rafer is still adjusting. I like Sura a lot and respect his tenacious attitude on the court. Hopefully by mid-season or sooner, Rafer will get more comfortable and be an improvement over Sura.

I agree Sura is not a great shooter and no ones ever accused him of being fast, but the bottom line is the guy is a leader on the court and won't back down to anyone (remember when he got into Francis face last year or slamming Josh Howard to the floor after he took a cheap shot at Yao). He even played the night after breaking a finger last year. He's a firey "bulldog" type of player and a guy that I love when he's on our team and hate when he's on the opposing team. I think of him as a Bret Farve type of player, a winner that will give everything he's got every night (even if he's hurt).

Certainly, I'm not saying that Bobby was the sole reason the team went 44-14 when he was playing, but I do think there is more to it than having a good jump shot, being quick or not being injury prone (after all Shaq has managed to be in the league a few years and he is slower than Christmas has no jump shot and is getting injured more and more frequently). So, I think your basis for hating him is ludicrous.

All I'm saying is that the stats reflect us being a better team with him than without. I'm not taking anything away from Rafer, as I think he's a great pick up and I think both can fit in nicely, but Sura adds emotion (something this team badly needs) and I just don't see cause for hating on Sura - unless your objective is somthing other than seeing the Rockets winning.

Yep! Some people have to have someone to blame. It's getting ridiculous, especially when they're not even playing. I think it goes back to him thinking he doesn't get Yao the ball enough.

BTW- I sent you an email through the board in reference to your other post re: Texas A&M :D

    Not a Sura fan.

Would any other team in the NBA give up anything, even a pick, for him?

the real reason why Bob Sura is our X-Factor:

he is our Token Starting White Guy......Bowen doesn't count because he can't shoot, and being the token white guy requires shooting ability. JB doesn't count because he comes off the bench. we need our starting token white guy.
