Not directly coronavirus related, but my father in law (white American who lives in Nanjing) has been stuck at home ever since this whole thing started. Over the last couple of weeks, he has started suffering from what appears to be a form of glaucoma related to diabetes. (he is definitely diabetic) Anyway, he is basically in constant pain, but they are turning people away from hospitals if they have cases unrelated to coronavirus, so he's in a pretty crappy situation.

On the other hand, everyone is being incredibly thorough in terms of keeping everyone isolated and quaranteened to try and keep the virus from spreading, and someone comes by every day to clean all of the door handles and stairwells and everything in their apartment complex. Evidently food is getting harder and harder to come by, though. Many of the grocery stores remain closed.

If I put a mask on my cat's face like that, I wouldnt have to fear any coronavirus.
I would already be dead by cat claws.

    I mean..absolutely bat **** crazy.
To show that the epidemic is slowing down they are creating this new science.

Even if you test positive for the virus, if you dont have symptoms-yet- you are healthy!!:rolleyes:

Jesus Christ, I hope they dont allow those "healthy" people outside of guarantine.

    Relax.

    There is no climate change.

    There is no epidemic.

The good, warm weather cannot come soon enough.

Enough hysterics over here and there.

The deaths outside of Hubei, Wuhan is around 40.

The only basis of the warm weather affecting this virus is conjuction with other viruses. But there is zero proof only hope.

And another thing..if this virus is affected by weather and since the vaccine will take more than 18 months to be developed I almost hope to get infected rather now than later.
Even with the summer with thousands of hosts in underdeveloped countries (ie Indonesia, Africa) it's impossible to eliminate it from humanity.

I rather get it now than later when it gets mutated into a spanish flu number 2.

Remember Copenhagen? When all the rest of the world had 50% mortality and was dying in the thousands, they had a 0.2% mortality because they already had immunity by the harmless version of the virus, that came a year before.

"Novel Coronavirus" was always kind of a placeholder title. Now both the virus and disease have official names:

    [BBC]Coronavirus disease named Covid-19

The World Health Organization says the official name for the disease caused by the new coronavirus is Covid-19.

The virus itself has been designated SARS-CoV-2 by the International Committee on Taxonomy of Viruses.

    We'll see what happens.

Another concern is the deployment of good and genius doctors who might also get infected.

With the fast increasing numbers of cases, good doctors are overwhelmed.

More mediocre doctors and even intern doctors cover part of the patients.

I do not want to know how many died because they didn't get the best doctors.
