Would you approve of a NCAA Tournament NBA Playoff system for one season only?

If I want to see Cinderella stories I watch March Madness. If I want to see the best of the best go toe to toe and see who is the best champ with minimal amounts of doubt and discussion I watch the NBA.

Keep NCAA off my NBA please. Last years NBA finals are better than anything the NCAA has to offer.

 

I also like seeing the best teams at the end of the season.

 

cinderella stories are awesome, but so is seeing how the best teams adjust from game to game during a 7 game series. it gives chances for unlikely heroes to emerge. it leaves no doubt who is the best team at the end.

i don't mind the 7 game format. and the nba would never shorten anything. when they make money on each game, why have less games? what i would rather see is the top 8 from each conference make it, and then seed the bracket 1-16 based on W-L records. this would give more deserving western teams a chance to advance, while all those .500 eastern teams can go home early.

of course that will never happen either BC the nba can't have the entire east tune out after the first round. money makes the decisions. and keeping eastern cities tuning in earns money.

there is no way around the current set up, unless you can find a way for the nba to make the same money or more with a new system.

 

By the NCAA system, do you mean picking teams to play in the playoffs regardless of regular season standing, and all based on predetermined "strength" rankings of divisions etc?

Or do you mean 1 and done games?

Or both?

Either way, nah. I like the 7 game format, the best team tends to progress, and the championship means a great deal more than 5-6 hot games in a row.

the NCAA has to be a 1 and done - yes you have teams get hot but like for every team like Kentucky which sends like 2-3 players to the first round of the NBA draft you have teams that have no one make it to the NBA making deep runs in the NCAA based on just fundamentals and proper play - which to me is fun to watch.

if you make the NCAA even a 3-5 game series then you'll usually see the powerhouse teams with the big recruits end up winning it all.

I am a big believer of the worst team in the NBA can beat the best college team and so on
