Was just daydreaming about a Harden and Durant duo and still amazes me that OKC could have had that duo together for 20 years if they wanted to. Obviously no one could have predicted how much of a player Harden evolved to but it's hard to think KD would have left OKC if Harden was still on the team

That and they'd have to trade Westbrook eventually.

Morey had a pretty good idea about how good Harden was. He traded for him and immediately gave him a max deal.

I think so, you can tell Durant likes Harden way more than Westbrook.

No KD wouldn't stay because the team would be Westbrick centric.

If you meant if Presti traded Westbrick instead of Harden then yes KD would have stayed.

We can speculate, but we don't know.

Regardless.. The trade happened. And Harden is amazing and Durant is a weak, beta snake

If I were an OKC fan I would've quit watching basketball already.

he thought harden was good but definitely not this good. hes been on record of saying that on numerous occasions

there isn't anyone that thought harden would evolve into what he is now, besides himself

In this era of super teams, you can only have super team for a few years, think Lebron. The next super team that will deflate is our nemesis, the Chumps. Durant is going Knicky and Klay is going to Lakey.

Keeping Harden would've given OKC the ability to stay a contender for another 7 years, not just making playoffs and knocked off in the 1st round.

Those two could've attracted a lot of talented players to come play for them, and Sam Presti would've made very decent trades to upgrade the roster.

Harden was basically the centerpiece to the dynasty.

How can you draft 3 all-stars--let alone them becoming 3 MVPs--and only keep the one least worthy to be voted MVP? That's still one of the greatest travesties in 21st Century professional sports.

if I ever saw Presti in person, I’d walk up to him, shake his hand, and thank him for everything that he’s done for the Rockets organization

Still one of the greatest ****ups in professional sports--not just NBA--history. Even if Presti and ownership had forecasted Harden to be just a supersub/6th man, they should have seen what kind of impact he had in the postseason next to KD and Russ vs the ass performances by Kendrick Perkins. That's like a worst case scenario because it was clear that Harden was starter material.

Presti will never replicate that KD/Westbrook/Harden/Ibaka lineup no matter how many 1st rounders he got in his back pocket.
