Would Case Keenum have been a better option than Hoyer?

How do you have a 2nd round grade and you don't draft him with any of the 7 picks after the 2nd round? They even picked a kicker instead of Case. Yeah, not buying that.

    Obviously.

I've been an O'Brien supporter but this is a legitimate reason for him to be fired.

Why? Keenum was HORRIBLE last season. He is now on a team with a revamp Oline and one the best D's in the league. People love revisionist history.

Because it's obvious that Keenum had the talent, but BOB is awful at talent evaluation and he sucks at getting player to reach their potential. He had Keenum, he wanted Hoyer. That alone is cause to terminate a coach.

LOL...he had SO MUCH TALENT....that 31 other teams passed on him when he was a Free Agent in 2014?
He got another look when the Texans picked him up off the street and O'Brien was able to put a game plan together to have him go 2-0 at the end of 2014. Texans traded him to the Rams for a 7th. He was not good the 2 years with the Rams. Sometimes, it takes time for a QB to really figure it out.

The other teams get a pass since they didn't have him in practice to see what he could do up close, O'Brien did.

A quality coach would have picked Keenum over Hoyer....because Hoyer is absolutely terrible.

LOL...you are trying to hard. Keenum didn't show anything but being a backup. You do remember 2013? LOL.

Perhaps you didn't see it due to him not being coached very well. It's pretty obvious it was there.

    Hoyer in 2015: 19 TD's, 7 INT's, 91.4 Rating, 236.9 YPG

    Keenum this season: 20 TD's, 7 INT's, 96.2 Rating, 248.6 YPG

I'm proud of Case for balling out on a good team, but it's not like he's even blowing Hoyer's stint with the Texans out of the water. This is by far Case's best season to date (he truly looks like a different QB) and many consider Hoyer's stint in Houston unsuccessful. And their stats are pretty damn similar.

I don't know why Hoyer vs Keenum is even being debated in the first place. In case y'all didn't know we drafted Deshaun Watson earlier this year.

Jeff Fisher the QB killer was his HC last yr.

Working with a great HC and OC has helped Keenum become all he can be. Well that and the OL the Texans could've had if RS wasn't such a dumba**.

O'Brien really is the QB whisperer. Every QB he doesn't fall in love with and passes over ends up being good.

There has to be a term worse than terrible to describe Hoyer.

He's been in the league since 2012. It's 2017....and this his first year of sustained good QB play. I think the Texans can be forgiven...because the rest of the league sure didn't think much of him.

1st time he's played behind a good OL.
