What's with the recent influx, over the last year or so, of women with dude's haircuts? There are a lot with butchy, androgynous does - none of which are appealing. Anyone like it? I just don't see the appeal.
I hear there are some women who wear slacks JUST LIKE A MAN. Shouldn't there be laws forcing them to wear dresses or something? Also I hear that new FM radio frequency broadcasts in stereo, but the broadcast range is pretty short. I doubt it takes off.
I think it's one of those things that in most cases just looks bad. In the cases where it does not look bad, those women look good despite the haircut. They'd likely look even better with a regular hairstyle. Overall, there's just not much positive to say about it. That Halle Berry pic is case in point. She looks good in it, but she looks even better here:
I'm sure it' easier to maintain, but not a look I like, nor do I think it's a good career move. The girl is the supercuts commerical actually pulls it off, but recent failures I think include the big bang girl, miley cyrus, Robin wright penn, Hathaway, emma watson, Jennifer Lawrence. Think that some can pull it off like Tyra, and maybe Theron. But so few. Their call though.
I too have been seeing a prevalence of this. I don't like it usually, but sometimes... I'm thinking of a few women who look stunning with short hair but like you wrote, many of them would look just as good if not better w/ longer hair. I'm one of those guys who thinks a bobcut looks better than long hair on some girls with angular faces-Even the shorter cropped ones. I'm a freak though so I guess I'll need to provide proof of some drop-dead gorgeous dyke-do damsel. Hmm. lemme rack my brain. I know. That's cheating a little. But I hope you'll forgive me for trying to turn this thread into a smoking chicks w/ short hair extravaganza.
I think a woman has to be very, very pretty to pull off a pixie or lesbian pompadour, and even then those women will usually look better with long hair. That said, it's still worlds better than dudes with ponytails or manbuns.
Good work. We're going to need a LOT more pictures of hot girls with short hair in order for the bbs to make an informed decision on this.
What about the trend of men getting fat or bald. I'm sure women don't find that attractive too. Double standard much.
how are we supposed to pull on their hair and make them scream ay papi with short hair? make us dinner and keep your hair long! =/
She's obviously gorgeous either way, but I actually like her look more with the short hair. I assume one good reason for women to adopt a "man's" hairstyle is it is simply less of a hassle to deal with.
