    If Roy can give whoever signs him 15-20 mins/game, he's a difference-maker.

They need a good shooting guard/perimeter guy. If Brandon Roy can come back to 50% of what he was it'd be a great signing.

IMO, it's more $$$ than we really know. Life without NBA paycheck/fame is kinda hard.

Roy should stay retired for his own sake. Even playing 15 mpg for 60 games of NBA basketball will give him problems.

    Shoulda went for Crawford.

Houston should trade K-Mart to Minnesota, then sign B-Roy to a 2 year 8 mil deal. If he's legit, give him a 4 year extension!

Roy had a bigger problem giving up the rock than with his knee. He whined and sulked over the ball being taken out of his hands when they added Miller, Oden and Aldridge earlier on. If he's healthy I can't see him adjusting to a team with Rubio or Love.

That's kind of the issue with the whole "Brandon Roy at 50% (or whatever %) is still good" theory. Roy had to have the ball when he played-- which was great when he was 100% and making everything happen, but if a 50% or 80% Roy tries to plays the same way, he probably ends up clogging up the offense since he won't have the same ability to make good things happen. We kind of went through the same thing with Tracy McGrady injuries. When he was 100%, there really wasn't much downside to him having the ball. When his health declined and still wanted to play the same way, he looked like a "ball stopper."

Can a 50% or 80% Brandon Roy adjust to taking a smaller role (and get comfortable with skills like moving the ball on and spot-up shooting) like, say, an aging Ray Allen and Paul Pierce did?

I doubt he can last more than a month or two. He probably feels great because he's had a year of rest but an 82-game season will wear on him.
