Why are these bottom dwellers overpaying free agents? If I were the owner, I'd just give up and pocket as much money as possible.
Who needs Tyreke Evans when we can have MCW hitting the side of backboards from the corner every night. Morey back to piling up assets that noone wants smh
This is what a lot of free agents are betting the farm on because more teams will have money to spend. It won't be nearly as exciting for us fans because LeBron has committed.
Just wasn't a good fit with EG still here anyways, which I've stated before. Now if EG gets traded this offseason somehow, Morey had better have a really good replacement in mind, cause Tyreke would have been close to perfect.
So the Grizzlies... * benched Evans for five games prior to the Trade Deadline * then rejected multiple offers that included 2nd round picks, young prospects or expiring contracts * then played him again because they hoped he would re-sign * now don't even talk to him in Free Agency, so he walks Their management is worse than the Kings. I never thought I'd write this. Good pickup for the Pacers though.
But, that is exactly what a tanking team would do, with the FIFY edit. I don't see anything wrong with what Memphis did wrt Tyreke.
You don't see anything wrong in refusing to acquire draft picks for a player that will leave a few months later? That's strange.
They are tanking. Now is the time to tank too. Everyone is fighting for 2nd place so pull the plug. Although a lot of teams might be fighting for last place. Hahaha. The NBA is a mess right now.
Great signing to make up for losing Lance. Ty has clawed his way back to being a credible player. Ty looks like he got it together and became a better player. He was on the verge of being a ball stopper for his career. I'm happy for him and his gf.
