Don't be foolish. This isn't fantasy basketball. This is a team game. Everyone needs to fill a role. And Klay fills his role better than Harden on that team.

They ain't trading Klay for anyone because he covers up all of Curry's liability on D and he doesn't ask for the ball

Harden is only overall better because of offensive abilities on the ball. His defensive abilities are below Thompson's. During the playoffs, Thompson made a lot of great 1-on-1 stops. Harden wouldn't give you those.

Now if you are picking one because you need a #1 option on offense, you go with Harden.

But if you already have great #1 and #2 options in Curry and Durant, Harden's offensive abilities aren't as needed while his defensive shortcomings hurt you. In contrast, Thompson's defense is a great plus.

Harden is overall better but Thompson is better for what the Warriors need. Warriors need Thompson's defense far more than they need Harden's offense.

It's amazing to say this, but the Warriors just don't need another creator like Harden with KD, Steph and Draymond already on the team.

I bet they'd trade him for Kawhi, but obviously the Spurs would never do that.

They would definitely trade him for Kawhi. Kawhi has a great contract and Klay will make too much in 2 years. And Kawhi can do what Klay can do on D and doesn't need the ball. He is probably the only one they would break up the team for.
