true, but it still applies to 2017, for players in their 4th year. See the footnote from CBA FAQ in my post above
Anyone else think this is a bad deal because now he won’t have that relentless will and drive to the basket to demolish because he doesn’t want to risk any injury?
Unrelated to his extension, but holy **** I just checked the stat box from the 76ers game today. Embiid's stat sheet 22 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assist, 1 block, 14 of 18 from the FT line ... IN JUST 14 minutes. How the hell can someone shoot 18 FTA attempts in 14 minutes?? (If they aren't being purposely hacked like Jordan/Howard that is) That's just insane.
Embiid about ready to make Davis obsolete. He's getting those FTAs because he can face up and drive, and he is much stronger than Davis in terms of forcing the issue by getting indefensible low post position. The dude has the full arsenal from Porzingis 3s to Davis face up Js to KATs drives to LMA turnaround Js to overpowering low post all combined with. DPOY defense His skilz are no longer vaporware and potential. We see it. The only talk of potential is what is the potential amount of games and minutes this monster can play. With the minutes, he's already as good as Davis and KAT
Embiid led the league last year for both FTA/36min and FTA/100 possessions. Harden and WB were the next two. And he shot a Davis/KAT level 78%
Embiid is indefensible one on one. Too tall, too strong, too fast, too skilled. The only question about him is health. Unlike Anthony Davis, you can initiate an offense through Embiid. He forces a double team every time he touches the ball.
