My initial thought is **** no to anything that involves Tucker but I’d like to see what other pieces would be coming here. Obviously 3 starters for Butler is not a good idea on the surface.

well, the strategy worked. when he strikes out on a free agent we will all cheer that our guys didn't get traded. we will cheer for al aminu the next great.

 

The tweet never said he's trading all 3 of those guys. It said all 3 are available to be traded for a pick. Whichever one gets the Rockets the best draft pick will be the one who will be traded. Then they will flip the pick along with another player to be traded to Philly.

So two of the 3 will be gone in that instance. One of the 3 will be traded for a pick, and one of the other two will be traded with that pick to Philly.

What makes the most sense is Capela getting traded for a pick (he's young, good, and on a good contract), and that pick and Gordon being shipped to Philly. Keeping Tucker.

 

I would trade Tucker before Capela any day of the week and twice on Sundays.

 

If we move this players we can sign Butler directly with our new cap space and keep the first rounds.

 

Is this really worth it to give up on 3 starters for one and then rely on vet min guys? I know Mauri thinks Houston is a preferred destination but it didn't really play out well in the past.

 

That can’t mean we are trading all 3. Being hard capped we couldn’t replace them all.
