I mean...maybe? Every game was within 6 points this past Warriors series. The Rockets were right there in every game. I'm not sure widespread wholesale changes are "needed". Some tweaks? Sure. But this seems like an overreaction unless an obvious upgrade presents itself, and I find that to be extremely unlikely.

    Where there’s smoke there’s fire??

Harden for Lebron + 4th pick

    MDA goes. Ty Lue in.

4th plus Capela plus future first for AD.

Harden gets Jimmy B to LAL. They’re buds. Jimmy B wants to go to LA.

    Everybody wins except MDA.

I’ll believe it when I see it but I just don’t see any team being stupid enough to take on cp’s contract. I’d be ecstatic if it happens but obviously Capela is the more likely trade option

They can still resign Rozier if Kyrie bolts though, i just don't see it, especially cause if Irving bolts they should build around their young core which is Tatum and Brown. Also Horford playing the 4 at 32...eh.

I used to think Morey was overrated. But now I am starting to think he is an idiot.

Blazers didn’t win a game but they were “right there” as well in every game except for the first. We’re never gonna win anything with MDA as coach and Harden our #1 option.

D’Antoni’s ideal offense is score in 7 seconds or less. Harden’s is make a move with 7 seconds left.

This is 100% something that needs to be addressed. You can still run isolation without taking up 20 seconds every time.

    The Rockets play too slow.

Also Rockets fans. Those old banana farts aren’t a better shot at a title. Rather tear it all down then make that trade.

They did that without KD. And if you watch the game, it was clear the dudes were going through the motions, did not take the Blazer seriously at all.

    3 good decisions:
    1. hold off decision on MDA
    2. trade Paul
    3. trade Capela

Morey is NOT going to trade Harden, Tucker and maybe Gordon.

If any GM offers a package for Harden, he is a fool.

Gordon is going to get pay check at 4 years 75 million.

I'm trying to make sense of scenarios in which this would be the case. The available free agent pool drops off from elite after Durant and Leonard to the likes of Kyrie, Kemba, Klay, Butler. If you had assurance that Durant would sign to play with Harden, then definitely you trade Paul and maybe Capela for cash. After that, I don't see another single player I would clear cap to sign and you would have to start looking at two lesser free agents you could sign by clearing Capela's cap hit for cash. I do not think you can trade Paul/Capela and expect a star in return, probably just packaged deals.

I said it last year. I thought the Pelicans would be a good fit for Chris Paul to pair with AD. Now that AD wants out, I still think the Pelicans would be interested in kick-starting Zion's career with an elite play-maker.

New Orleans is the team to watch out for.
