The turn of events led D'Antoni straight to us. We were clamoring for Jeff Van Gundy. Letting JB coach all season was horrible, but picking up another mediocre coach and running on that mediocrity treadmill is not something the Rockets should have done.

I think all this GnG type coaches, like JVG, Thibbs, their style takes a toll on the players. And then you see players like Ryan Anderson, EGord thriving after previous seasons of being injured, playing under MDA. Even his previous Suns teams, Nash had a good stretch of being injury free.
I don't understand why teams do this all around the world (not just basketball). Coaches being blamed and taking the fall when circumstances are out of their control. Especially when key players are injured its just really unfair.
