THE flaw in this team is the lack of a dependable wing defender besides PJ. I noticed it at halftime....PJ was at like 19 minutes. Our depth will benefit Westbrook and Harden. Gordon, Rivers and House will help to carry the offensive load and provide adequate backcourt D. Capela is going to be spelled by Chandler. But NOBODY else on this team give us anything close to what PJ provides. He is the guy that will be overtaxed if we don't find another wing that can give us minutes. Covington is obviously the perfect candidate, but is 2 1st enough, and will the Rockets FO/ownership accept the cost (besides the picks, luxury tax this year and a good chance at the repeater tax in 3 years).
You need to learn how trades work in the NBA. He literally is not allowed to acquire some of the players named unless he’s trading Capela PJ and then some
I think they can still sign and trade Shumpert, right? Or is there some kind of deadline for sign and trades? Either way, I'm sure they've been trying to trade for a forward for months, considering its literally the only hole on this team. We don't have any minutes to offer in any other role.
Even Crowder I think is not attainable. I could be wrong but I think according to trade machine we don’t have the contracts without dumping someone useful. Keep in mind any player we signed this summer can’t be traded until later in the season. IH and Clark doesn’t get it done.
Get Marvin Williams he's an expiring contract. Get rid of all our vet minimum contracts and try to match it by including House.
From my understanding we can no longer do so but I could be wrong there. And if I’m right, then pretty sure our options is whatever IH + Clark can add up to for trades in the foreseeable future.
Rockets will find some former NBA player at the Y during a pick up game and he'll be the new Danuel House of 2019-2020 season.
