He is the difference maker as we just are too small and can't stop other teams defensively. Morey's fault that he did not get us another legit "big" at trade deadline. We will pay the price come playoff time.
Very frustrating because we are that close to being a legit contender for the title and failed to secure the one last huge weakness we have. Credit that he tried for Bogut, but that has been our story every year, we try, we get close, we fail.
stay calm. This is regular season. 3rd seed is virtually clinched. Nene will be a factor in the playoffs, which are the only thing that matters. So you Nene-sayers just relax.
The problem is that Nene doesn't play back to backs. Will that be in the playoffs too????? I agree that he is more powerful against some of the bigger guys, and am also disappointed that we didn't get another big defender for certain match-ups. Capella has his limitations, being only 6'10 and not as beefy. Also, why does Anderson always come out with 4 minutes in the first quarter until after 4 minutes of the second? He isn't old. I hate when we go small ball for so long.
SO MUCH CRAZY IN THIS THREAD! "Nene doesn't play back to backs...will that be in playoffs too???" Yes Nene will also sit out in playoff back to backs....so will every other player "Missing Nene lost us this game" Yup, any good team should blame their 7th man for a loss "Morey screwed up by not getting us another legit big" Complete failure that Morey! He refused to sign that dominant defensive 7-footer with veteran experience and no risk that is a free agent just hoping to land a contract and wasn't approached by other teams.
There were many other options....Portland and Denver traded big guys for not much. Omar Asik hasn't played a minute in weeks, but would have fit the bill for us in not being pushed around and dominated on the block. We would have had to pay, but word had it they were offering a pick with him.
......on the lower end, we could have signed Sullinger or Sanders. Either of them would help us more than Bobby Brown. To not address this issue is going to cost us dearly in the playoffs!!!
Not to be off topic, but does anyone know the reason why we signed him and all seemed well and then the next day the NBA stopped it and he was a free agent again?
we just signed him to get a couple of bottles of samples of his ass sweat...advanced analytics shows its very useful come playoffs time...
nobody knows, OP. To this day it remains a complete mystery. Only "the NBA" knows. Although the ass sweat hypothesis is a good one. Hard to falsify.
