You've made an excellent decision - Microsoft will dominate this market within 6 months.

Used an HD7 today. The UI looks great in motion and was smooth and responsive. Very unique look and feel.

If the apps, games, multitasking and a few other small features I've gotten used to get sorted out over the next year or two I'm definitely going to consider it.

The marketplace is what's going to make or break it. I really think MS is going to make a push in that area -particularly games, thanks to the Live connection.

Hell, Windows Phone may jump Android in that area fairly quickly.

As long as they don't suck like they did with the Zune HD.

So the Windows 7 phone, is not an actual phone but just an OS? What kind of phones will run that?

How is the Xbox Live intergration, if you have that, it is one of the big selling points to me other that Zune?

Well its similar to Android in that there are several different phone manufacterers making phones for the platform. The Samsung Focus is similar to the other Samsung Galaxy S phones on the market that run Android. The other ones making phone right now are Dell, LG, and HTC. As far as the Live integration goes, I have no idea. I'm a PS3 guy. From what I can tell is that it uses your Live avatar and the games can add to your gamer score.

I don't work in any kind of development, phone companies etc, so I don't know much about the "industry" but I decided to pick up a Samsung Focus. It's very quick and very elegant. I think if Microsoft can get some more 3rd party development, Windows Phone 7 could easily compete with (read: not overtake) iPhone/Android/BB.

    WP7 + Zune Pass = Win
