    Unofficial 40-yard dash results:

    Marcus Mariota, Oregon - 4.52

    Nick Marshall, Auburn - 4.54

    Blake Sims, Alabama - 4.58

    Brett Hundley, UCLA - 4.63

    Bryce Petty, Baylor - 4.87

Jameis Winston, Florida St. - 4.97

Sean Mannion, Oregon St. - 5.14

Gotta say I'm surprised Mariota was faster than Marshall. Winston's declining athleticism could be an issue in future seasons.

Why in the hell would the Raiders spend a ton of draft picks (and possibly players) to move up to try to draft Winston when they already have a young qb that they really like (Carr)?

I don't see how Tampa can pass on him, unless they screw the Raiders over ala RG3 deal the Rams made a couple years ago.

The dude looks the part at the combine, and everything coming out of team meetings with him is that his football IQ is off the charts. We'll see

i would be interested to hear from a scout who they thought was the better prospect between Winston and Russell. Physically Russell had everything but was a mental midget.

Lol I hope they do. Raiders are a trainwreck and Winston would keep them derailed and on fire. Look at him, he hasnt even been drafted and he's out of shape.

He doesn't have a weight issue. NFL network had a creeper shot of him changing shirts off to the side yesterday, and he was slim. Plus his weight coming in was bellow his playing weight of 250lbs. He's good in that department.

Maybe if he could throw the ball 80 yards and Al Davis was still alive.

so much fail in this thread

Winston is a prospect being talked in the realm of Luck/ Mannings...

Jamarcus Russell was a worse prospect or maybe even prospect to Blake Bortles or Blaine Gabbert... its just the qb class that russell was in was so weak

Winston would gone ahead of clowney last year, hes that elite of a prospect, so is mariota for that matter

    Luke Easterling @LukeEasterling

Per @mikefreemanNFL, Jameis Winston's football IQ has been compared to Peyton Manning by multiple personnel executives at the #NFLCombine.

yep jameis be anotha jamarcus lol...

maybe the texans front office and fans of houston both suck at evaluating qbs, because we have never had one worth a damn lol

I don't know why people think that about Jameis outside of his off the field issues. He's a pretty smart QB with really good arm, and has played in pro-style offense. I think these draft evaluations are getting ridiculous. You won't know anything about a QB, truly until around Year 2 - Year 4.

I used to see people hyperventilate about young QBs, like Wilson, Kaepernick, Newton, Bridgewater, RGIII, and Tannehill. That bust level really should not even come into play at this point, unless they are Ryan Leaf bad. You have to give a guy a chance to learn the offense and get a competent supporting cast.

Really they are being paid for this... Who cares ... can these GMs simply scout football players, instead of searching purple squirrels.
