    he's signing with the lakers.

the questions are, do the thunder have any assets left to make another big acquisition? and will the lakers be able to sign lebron, trade for kawhi, or bring in someone else to pair with george and ball?

I think this year they just didn't try that hard (to work together). Perhaps they thought they could just "turn it on" once the playoffs arrived. Having failed miserably at that, if this crew does return for 2019, they would already have the blueprint for how this will turn out if they dont buy in. Hard to imagine they would let things unfold the same way twice. On the other hand, it may just not be in the cards for this group to ever coalesce.

Would rather have George on OKC than with another team that could actually utilize him

If I was an OKC fan, I would be hoping the organization could resign George and trade Westbrook to LA for some of their young stars and rebuild with some other talent. Westbrook is a stupid ahole.

I don't think he'll resign with OKC. I'd love to have him here but i don't see that happening.

Also lol at those who are kinda snubbing him...let's see if you'll change your mind if we get our ass kicked by the Warriors.

The issue is that this is Westbrook; he hasn’t shown any willingness to change his game. Even in his postgame presser, he reaffirmed that he wouldn’t change for anything or anyone.

    - Durant left because of this and he’s much happier now.
    - Oladipo was marginalized there and is becoming a legit star away from Westbrook.
    - George saw a dip in his numbers this year and is now being eaten alive for his game 6 performance even though he was a huge reason they got that far. Hell, if he doesn’t have a huge game in Game 5, they don’t make it to Game 6...and nobody cares.
    - Most folks think that Melo probably would have succeeded in Houston or Cleveland where he could have fit in a system. In OKC, he’s put in situations that aren’t his forte anymore.

I respect Westbrook’s game and athleticism, but he’s Allen Iverson with a team that allows him to pad his stats so that he can get trip dubs. If I’m another star, I want nothing to do with being on the same team.

If I’m OKC, I look at keeping Adams, and then trying to surround Westbrook with 3 and D guys in the mold of Ariza and Prince Luc. I also look at guys like Ryno who can spread the floor to open the lane for Russ. Then give the ball to Russ and just let him go for now. Maybe they can replicate Iverson’s Finals run and get lucky once they are there.

I want Paul George on this team locked up for 5 years in place of or along with Cp3.

Him and Harden are around the same age so if you bring them together you are gonna have a Jordan and Pippen lite combo going on. We already have the role players, and we already have the transcendental star in Harden so if we have a multi purpose forward star like Paul George we can win 6 rings like a new age chicago Bulls.

He won't. I don't want him to if there is a chance we can get him. I want him to if he is hellbent to go to the Lakers.

I voted "no he won't, no I don't want him to" but the real answer was "no he won't, I don't care if he does"

They've already got Westbrook on the max and Adams at like $22 mil. A max for George and a big contract (maybe $15 mil for Melo) plus Roberson's $10 mil doesn't leave a whole lot of wiggle room for a core that isn't been super effective and is going to need at least one or two strong bench players to compete. That's going to be tough as most quality vets are going to pick Houston, GSW, Boston etc. to compete on the min
