Melton most likely will not get any playing time with the Rockets. Only because of the guards that we have and also the coach doesn't really play rookies. Jimmy would get easy buckets with CP3 and James.

If Melton is as good as they say I say no, I have read an article about him being only one of 12 drafted to have the potential of being an all star. He played well in he summer league and seems to have his shot. Has great physical stats and reach Heck Green got playing time with the Rockets and he came from his sofa to play and was very inconsistent to my eye. Just don't see giving up a potential future all star plus a 1st and 2nd.

Ridiculous. I assure you it won’t happen because Minnesota would die laughing at an offer of Ryno, Melton and an array of crappy late picks. Not because we wouldn’t be willing.

I love how Melton was picked 46th overall, 46TH!, meaning 29 teams passed on him and 15 passed on him again (roughly), and less than two months later where no professional games have taken place and this guy is a tough one to include in a trade for stars. On top of the fact that D’antoni already has his hands full making the rotation work with the additions of Melo and Ennis.

Shows how much talent he has. I would be genuinely bummed to lose him.

At this point in time I don't really think we need him or that he would bring a lot to the table. I imagine he would want to start, who you gonna sit on the bench. You know neither Harden or CS are coming off the bench, I don't expect Melo will either.

Haha. Come on man. That’s not what it shows. It shows how some posters get too excited and over-rate some dudes. What is showing you his talent besides crazy posters and that one ESPN article. We usually rip on ESPN round here. Can’t pick and choose when a source is respectable.

Summer league can be so deceptive. Our first round pick Donte Green dropped 40 his first summer league game. Used him to get Artest. If we can fool someone to think Melton is that good of an asset we do it 10 times out of 10. But I assure you no front office is giving anything up for the 46th pick of the draft who hasn’t played a real NBA game yet.

I’m not saying he won’t have a career, I have no idea to be honest what he brings to the table, but ain’t no package of Ryno and Melton getting a Jimmy Butler or anything remotely close to that in return. And if it did we sure as hell would do it.

Haven't you heard? Christian Wood, Trevon Duval, Danuel House and Deng Adel are future all-stars!

We should be able to trade them for Jimmy Butler and Anthony Davis.
